We're getting HuNdReDs of shrubs, bushes and trees to plant out at Scarborough's newest nature reserve near Cornelian Drive 🌿🌿 Yorkshire Water are committing to provide our local community group (Wheatcroft) with sufficient funding and some help with planting 👍 But we may need some volunteers! 🤔😘

With an average of 360 ambulance hours per day lost due to delayed handovers, the #YAS Trust loses the equivalent of 32 ambulances on a 12-hour shift per day! In December, Cat 2 response times (stroke) were 41 mins. #scarborough patients are taken directly to York adding a further 1hr. #nhs #funding

There is a lack of any progress being made on the rare Victorian #tennis #pavilion in Holbeck Hill #Bramcote Dating back to the sport's inception in the 1860s the building is hugely significant. Owners cannot be allowed to let their listed buildings decay! #scarborough

In last month's budget, The Rural Services grant was scrapped and 're-purposed'. What this means to a #council such as #NorthYorkshire is a loss of circa £14 million. . When officers talk about efficiencies and savings, what they really mean are #cuts. I predict there will be cuts. Let's see... 🙄

You may be surprised to learn that since the demise of SBC, there has been NO STRATEGY for the harbour(s). This has, in my view, left us treading water for the last two years (pardon the pun) and concerns me as the power is increasingly centralised over in Northallerton whilst our harbour silts up!
