Ok this campaigning for @bsky38.com is getting out of hand
Campaign text:

Friend, it’s Jerry Santiago (@jcsalterego.bsky.social).

The Bluesky establishment is doing everything they can to block my progress in the Bluesky 38 leaderboard and stall our momentum. We are just 1,000 votes shy of our critical midnight deadline, and I cannot close this gap alone.

I need you with me in this fight. If we lose traction now, we risk falling behind when it matters most.
Will you pitch in your votes right now to help us show Bluesky that I’m not going down without a fight?

Click here to vote for Jerry: bsky38.com

Reply STOP to quit. Paid for by Jerry for Bluesky.

This take might be a little spicy but there’s a lot of parallels between current AI advocacy and the pro-life movement Read this quote below but replace “unborn” with “AI”
"The unborn" are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don't resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don't ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don't need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don't bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners?
Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible?
They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn."

“If history shows anything, it is that there's no better way to justify relations founded on violence, to make such relations seem moral, than by reframing them in the language of debt—above all, because it immediately makes it seem that it's the victim who's doing something wrong.”

In light of some concerns regarding increased anti-immigrant posting on the Atmosphere, we're introducing two new labels to @moderation.latinsky.app, "Anti-Immigrant Harassment" and "Anti-Indigenous Harassment". His the subscribe button to report harmful/hateful content to the labeler.
View of Latinsky Moderation labels

Anti-Immigrant Harassment
Content that aims to demean, intimidate, or exclude people based on their actual or perceived foreign birth, national origin, citizenship, or immigration status. Such content includes but is not limited to verbal abuse, intimidation, misinformation, and broad generalizations about the immigrant community.

Anti-Indigenous Harassment
Content that aims to demean, intimidate, or exclude people based on their indigeneity, race, ancestry, or culture. Such content includes but is not limited to verbal abuse, intimidation, misinformation, and broad generalizations about the indigenous community.

This is a WIP I’ve been wanting to build for an extremely long time, since the first time I made the @medsky.network and @stemlabels.xyz labeler. In the same way Ozone has supported community moderation on the Atmosphere, it’s my hope that Nitrogen will improve algorithms on the Atmosphere.

Troubleshooting the @qbank.study interface before public launch and spending time drafting the official question bank for the platform (there will be no AI generated questions) Can you guess what the answer is #Medsky?
A 12-year-old boy is brought by his parents to a pediatric urgent care because of 3 weeks of progressively worsening left-sided groin pain. His parents report that he has had increasing pain during the family’s evening walks, and his teachers have reported that he has been unable to sit for prolonged periods while at school. He is currently taking ibuprofen 2 to 3 times daily for pain control for the last week with minimal improvement. He reports no recent illnesses. He was recently diagnosed with prediabetes and was in an after-school PT program prior to the onset of his pain symptoms. The patient is 150 cm (4 ft 11 in; 55th percentile) tall and weighs 70 kg (155 lbs; >95th percentile); BMI is 31.3 kg/m2 (99th percentile). Temperature is 37.0° C (98.6° F), pulse is 90/min, and blood pressure is 133/80 mm Hg. Physical examination reveals antalgic gait and reduced range of motion on flexion and internal rotation of the left hip. While supine, the left hip involuntarily externally rotates and abducts when the hip is passively flexed to 90 degrees. The cremasteric reflex is present on exam, with no visible swelling of the scrotum and no tenderness to palpation of the testicles. The remainder of the physical exam findings are normal. Which of the following is the most likely underlying pathology associated with the patient’s condition?

A. Slippage of the femoral epiphysis from the femoral neck
B. Autoimmune-mediated destruction and inflammation of the hip joint
C. Transient inflammation of the synovium of the joint
D. Avascular necrosis of the femoral head
E. Microfractures of the tibial tubercle apophysis

Getting a lot of feelings today about Sam Neill's passing, and while my mind immediately raced to thinking about him as Alan Grant, I'm also reminded of his amazing performance in Hunt for the Wilderpeople. If you haven't seen this movie, please watch it and let it warm your heart in his memory.

I remember watching the first episode of Peaky Blinders with my dad when it came out, and the episode was great, but it wasn’t until Sam Neill’s Inspector Campbell had his first big scene that we turned to each other and said “this just got good” RIP to the legend

Looks like Bluesky finally updated the hosting provider option on their login page! That means for people on the Blacksky/Latinsky or the Medsky server, Bluesky will recognize the hosting provider when you log in without having to enter it manually. HUGE improvement for non-Bluesky accounts.
