Both reports seem a bit unlikely; I can't see Mo leaving and I'm not sure City needs another striker (unless Makama's injury is worse than we're being told? #OTBC

Okay then hive mind - when you search Google Maps for "Charlton, London" it comes up with - you've guessed it - a map of Charlton. However, its added a boundary that I don't recognise ... anyone know what it relates to?

I do like album cover mashups - accidental or otherwise!
Parts of two albums covers shown together.

I don't know whose words these are, but I think they may be onto something here ...
Unattributed quote:
"The secret to the Muppets is that they
are not very good at what they do:
Kermit's not a brilliant host;
Fozzie's not a great comedian;
Miss Piggy's not a wonderful singer.

None of them are actually good at it,
but they absolutely love it.
They're like a family,
and they like putting on the show.

They have joy, and because of the joy,
it doesn't matter that they're not good at
it - and that's what we should all be like ...

Muppets"

"There ... are ... FOUR ... guys!"
'Five Guys' burger joint at dusk. The letters 'F' and 'V' of the illuminated display are not working, so the sign appears to read "IV GUYS". The accompanying quote "There ... are ... FOUR ... guys" is a reference to a well-known episode of Star Trek TNG (Chain of Command, Part II) in which Captain Picard is tortured by Madred, a Cardasian who tries to force Picard to tell him there are 5 lights, when in fact the real number is four. The torture scene in this episode is, in itself, a reference to George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four. In the novel, the slogan is a primary example of doublethink, the ability of the totalitarian ruling party to exert such control they can even make people admit obvious falsehoods. Sensory evidence - or in the case of the novel, analytic truth - is internalized as insanity, and external statements are internalized as true, even when the subject isn't actually insane. The captors are showing their strength not just by forcing the captive, but by forcing reality itself.

There seem to have been many of these spoof action figure posts floating around on social media of late, but few of them warrant reposting. However, this Picard/Trek one amused me far more than it should have.

Here's a riddle - recite this limerick ...
Doesn't look like a limerick to you? Try this:
A dozen, a gross, and a score
Plus three times the square root of four
Divided by seven
Plus five times eleven
Is nine squared and not a bit more,.

... "other than to flip the vinyl"? With that qualifier, the answer would have to be "several decades ago." But the last time I listened to a whole album uninterrupted was about 15hrs ago; and there were three of them: ▪︎ Bard (2025 Reissue) ▪︎ The Overview ▪︎ Dreams From An Empty House (see Alt Text)
