Hey, California folks, did the Bonta bus roll over you with all its tires or did it come at you from an angle? AG Bonta and the rest just folded to billionaires like good little politicians, and our industry union leadership laid down and said, "Thank you sir may we have another," in record time.

11 year old "punk" me had several secrets. Not the least of which was that I thought a certain Glenn Medeiros song was the epitome of romance.

So husbandman just looked up a tape I had in 1987 that I may have paid $3 for and threw away about 2002... It's selling for $300...

It's 3 am and all I want is to put on my hat and coat, walk 6 blocks in the cold, and get a slice of pepperoni. But I'm in GA, it's 80F and I'm vegan...

Please RT this. I want to gather as much opinion and answers as possible to help me make an informed choice on how much to charge. I'm looking at Kickstarter style funding for the first season, maybe Patreon for later seasons.

Well... it's been a week and the "renaming" of a lake didn't bring the price of gas, groceries or healthcare down. Weird.

Controversial take: I like overhead lighting. Not a serial killer 60k light, but turn the fekkin lights on. I HATE dim rooms. I walk into a restaurant can't see the other person or the menu I'm out. I walk into a room the only light is an emaciated 28k from a lamp I'm leaving and breaking something.

Coming of age films ask us to remember that every stranger was once a kid trying to figure out who they were, usually badly. For a couple of hours, we borrow someone else’s fear, joy, shame and hope. Maybe empathy begins there. Realizing everyone has a story we missed.

Bergman always gets weird at the end, and I love him for it. Fanny and Alexander's "TV" version of more than 4 hours, is phenomenal storytelling. Ismael, let me find a way to put in an enigmatic, androgynous, and telepathic one-scene character and make it work.

Wow emailed the mayor about my concerns regarding his treatment of trans New Yorkers and they replied?? With specific details about what they’re doing to protect trans New Yorkers?? Mamdani is FAR from perfect but I’ve never had a government agency reply to an email I’ve sent before.

Dear Ms. Biba:
Thank you for your email. I appreciate your taking the time to write and share your concerns about the rights and safety of transgender New Yorkers.
Our Administration is committed to ensuring that every transgender and gender nonconforming New Yorker can live with dignity and access to the resources they need. Over the past several months, we have taken significant action to protect and expand the rights of trans New Yorkers.
Earlier this year, we established the Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs, the first citywide office solely dedicated to the health, safety, and dignity of queer New Yorkers. We also launched "Trans Rights are Human Rights," a citywide public awareness campaign appearing across print advertisements, public transit, and LinkNYC kiosks, reminding New Yorkers that discrimination based on gender identity is illegal in housing, employment, and public spaces.

On health care, we have made a $15 million investment to expand access to gender-affirming care: establishing a direct care access fund for providers serving transgender youth, launching a call and text line connecting New Yorkers to care and resources, and funding research to identify gaps in health care access for transgender and gender nonconforming New Yorkers. The City is also prepared to defend that care legally. Our Law Department has submitted an amicus brief opposing subpoenas that sought the medical records of transgender patients, and we stand ready to litigate any threat to gender-affirming care for youth and adults.
Every New Yorker deserves to live with dignity and respect, and this City will use every tool at its disposal to protect those rights.
Sincerely,
Zohran Kwame Mamdani
Mayor

Grief is carrying someone with you long after they’re gone. Homesick for someone you'll never see again. Some days it feels lighter. Other days it hits in waves. What a fantastic experience, this being-human thing.

This movie is beyond good. It is so good it's inspiring. So good it actually restored some hope in modern filmmaking. It takes the intimacy of theater but embraces the visual language of film. It is going to take a minute for me to stop talking about how I feel about this film. 1/11 -Buckle up-

I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.
