- They purposely made it all about political influence for a clear reason, so they had the power & influence to do whatever they wanted. They effectively removed/limited the influence of The People for the same reason, so they were free to use & abuse their positions for their purposes alone.

I don't believe that trump alone is the problem here, he's largely just exploiting a system of abuse of power that the ruling class worked at establishing for themselves, which is entirely unconstitutional. But since all involved are themselves ruling class, no one gives a damn, they love it.

First of all, people of character would quit rather than go along with it, they're supposed to refuse to do illegal arrests. As usual, where is the far too often useless supreme court? ICE agents must be magats, or they would refuse illegal orders to do warrantless arrests or entries.

"Political Speak" is perfectly legal. Politicians & candidates can say just about anything in an effort to win elections. Of course, legality doesn't establish personal character or integrity. Politicians violated their oaths while redefining the system to serve themselves & their benefactors.

I may not have a complete understanding of it, but quitting also dumps your problem on the next guy, and it ends the resistance against it. When trump/doge was taking over departments of everything, quitting was surrendering & handing the keys over to them. We shouldn't have to fall on our swords.

I think the biggest reason is that he refuses to be defeated or surrender. He always has to, at very least appear victorious. Being forced to undo something isn't a win. Secondly, he might be testing the waters to see how far he can go, or if the supreme court will or can stop him.

If politicians & others were following the "for & by the people" requirement in the constitution, if you sold health insurance, you would have to provide health insurance. You wouldn't be allowed to put any phrasing in policies letting you out of that responsibility. This is for & by business owners

Just because the constitution lays out one method of getting rid of some appointed & elected officials, it might not definitively eliminate other possibilities "as needed". The founding fathers left a lot of room for unforeseen situations. Now that self-interested politicians are an issue........?

If we really examine "our" politics in it's entirety, trump isn't doing too much more than what the ruling class did when it took complete control of the gov, long ago. They've been exploiting abuse of power & legislation forever. They've kept this system vulnerable to political abuse.

By definition, wasn't "our" bombing of the Houthi rebels terrorism? I'm referring to precisely what was done and what the objective was. I have very little knowledge about the situation, and don't understand why the US got involved in their civil war, so I'm I'm not speaking on that.
