It's 2026 and people still act like the rules of social media are a mystery "You only responded to one post in a long thread" yes I can do that maybe I saw it in isolation on my feed that's how this works

The sun sparkled, the sky was clear, and all the colors he saw seemed to be richer and brighter than he could ever remember. The flowers shone as if they’d been cleaned and polished, and the tall trees that lined the road shimmered in silvery green.

Minneapolis needs row houses. In San Francisco I lived in a 2bd 2ba 1500 square ft apartment. It was great. 2 story building, identical unit below, shared backyard, building went right up to sidewalk. We could have so many more great homes for people!

Two hands clasp each other at shoulder height. One hand is attached to a heavily muscled arm captioned me at 11:29 am. The other is attached to a heavily muscled arm captioned ancient unspeakable evil. The clasping hands are captioned with the quote I hunger.

My working theory is that it's a vaguely motivating force - there's an election coming up, I should feel something about that, maybe voting will calm something in the back of my mind I can't look at directly? Still a pessimistic view of the people it motivates

from talking in non-academic terms. AI forces an issue that average people chose not to think about or previously came to simplistic conclusions. Why bring academic philosophy in to the discussion at all? Academics aren't average in any way.

Can you please talk about this in a different way? "Musty" is not a neutral description of academic philosophy "Confined" has too many possible meanings. Academic jargon is a barrier but exists because academics want to make precise distinctions about complex topics. That doesn't stop other people

One of the 90s sketch shows had the American Gladiators roll their human hamster balls into a conflict zone and promptly get shot to bits I can't remember which show it was. It was probably less ridiculous than whatever just happened in real life.

I could do one thing to work towards one of my hopes or one of my dreams. But I don't think I can achieve all my hopes and dreams so instead of doing one thing to work towards them I will do zero things and wallow in solipsistic onanism forever.

IMO step zero is universities paying out huge settlements for helping cover up rape and keeping policies on the books they should have known were terrible

2021, or maybe summer 2022 or September 2022. I don't know that I'm correct but you seem certain I'm wrong. But without evidence! "DOJ did basically nothing until late 2021" is a claim but nothing backs it up.

You keep throwing out all these dates without any evidence for any of them I contend that the United States Department of Justice was specifically investigating Trump and his close associates as conspirators, starting spring 2021. You say no, they did basically nothing on this front until late

Hi, yeah, just circling back on this That report doesn't talk about DOJ investigation start date unless it's in a footnote I missed Is there a document saying DOJ essentially started investigating Trump in summer of 2022?

And part of my evidence is Jack Smith took over in Nov 2022 and got indictments the following June and that makes no sense if he was handed nothing but a 5 month old investigation to start with

Little to nothing was happening in public I believe an investigation into the former president was happening and significant resources were directed to it the whole time and I've never heard a shred of evidence to the contrary

A shift in focus doesn't mean nothing was happening That's all I'm saying DOJ was working on the conspiracy angle the whole time

Makes no sense to date start of investigation to date subpoenas were issued. They are based on investigative work already done!

Not gathering witness depositions: which witnesses? Public record: where? Court records? Where? Either people were doing stuff out of the public eye or they were sitting on their thumbs. Where is the evidence for one of those scenarios?
200 2
Probably not bugs Richard @richardr.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Like is there a paper trail where DOJ had to do some part of the investigation with a public record, like file something demanding people turn over their phones, and that step was delayed?
000 0
Probably not bugs Richard @richardr.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Right but how long does it take to gather witness depositions And it's repeated as fact that broader DOJ investigation was delayed but nobody has evidence for this claim
200 2
Probably not bugs Richard @richardr.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Is there an example from the DOJ investigation where a subpoena was issued and someone ate up a bunch of time ignoring it and then DOJ went through some slow process to compel testimony and they could have gone faster but they didn't? Something like that?
010 1
Probably not bugs Richard @richardr.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Right but what I've seen you say is the impeachment was rushed, but you won't say what was rushed or how rushed and the DOJ investigation was too slow but you won't say what was too slow or what the timeline should have been
