Main lesson: European leaders are criminally unprepared for Trump 2.0 and retain a completely misguided view of Trump and U.S. democracy. The price of the European kicking-the-can-down-the-road approach to political problems is paid on all levels now, national (e.g. Germany) and supranational (EU).
