People outside of the US will care about Trump rigging the next elections as much as the US cares about Trump rigging the elections across South America, and attempting to influence elections in Europe, while actively attacking Canada.

Reading Doctor Who - The Wheel in Space. Okay story but what makes not much sense is the poor science in the book. Kit Pedler supplied the story but he clearly was not asked to check the scientific facts mentioned in the story. The supernova stuff is total tosh!

Watching Doctor Who - The Invasion. The blueprint story for early 70s DW. The Cybermen don’t really appear until episode five while their pal Tobias Vaughn is a great villain but shouts far too much. Finally even by his standards Jamie comes across as really dim in this story!

I finish reading Inspector Imanishi Investigates. A poorly written early 60s Japanese murder mystery with a convoluted (and often plain daft) plot with a silly way of committing murder. Perhaps I was reading a bad translation of the book otherwise the praise I have seen for it makes no sense.

I finish Gerald Seymour’s wonderful thriller Red Fox. A tension filled finale and because it was Gerald Seymour writing it I had no clue as to how it would finish. The book makes you feel as though you are there in 70s Italy as police and political terrorists go head to head. Fantastic book.

Reading Gerald Seymour’s Red Fox. Seymour is one of the best “real” thriller writers there has been. This book is about the kidnapping of an English businessman for ransom in late 70s Italy - when kidnapping and murder were all too common. This book is a real classic and well worth a read.

I watch Doctor Who - The Moonbase. One of my favourite stories and the two missing episodes are beautifully animated. The new design of Cybermen is a real classic. Should Doctor Who return they should bring this design back.

Read Dungeon Crawler Carl Eye of the Bedlam Bride. Far To much happens in this book. Too many characters and often during battles I had sod all idea what was going on. I still enjoyed it but sometimes less is more. If you can’t follow what is going on it ain’t so much fun.

The Violence Action is at times great but is often very poor indeed. A tale of a female assassin going about her work and a Yukuza power struggle. The plot makes not much sense. Some of the action is great but a lot isn’t and some of the acting is abysmal as is the way is sometimes shot and edited.

Reading Alastair MacLean’s Seawitch. It is bloody awful. What a massive fall from the great MacLean thrillers of the 50s, 60s and early 70s. You would be hard pressed to think the same man wrote HMS Ulysses, Night Without End and The Guns of Navarone as this tosh.

Reading A Dedicated Man - the second Inspector Banks mystery. I assume the author was pro smoking because I cannot ever remember reading a book with so many descriptions of cigarettes and pipes being lit and smoked. It is tediously boring. Who knew as well that so much police work was done in pubs?
