I’ve finally found a good use case for ChatGPT: recommending music. I told it some of my favourite albums and it recommended Indigo De Souza, Christian Lee Hutson, Waxahatchee, Freedy Johnston, David Bazan, John K. Samson… and all it cost was a small reservoir and enough energy to light a village.

This, by @larsiusprime.bsky.social has just been flagged to me as a great read on the basics of building a good land valuation methodology. It's clear and written for the lay person. I'm more than six months late on it but it's immensely useful. progressandpoverty.substack.com/p/valuing-la...

The Barbican Esate is very keen to make sure I hear its good news today. Glad the Golden Lane Leisure Centre refurbishment has been brought forward though. Highlight might be the fact they sent a 'sorry for all the emails' email then three more emails. We're currently on 18 copies of the same email.

A salute to Billy. A good coach and a good dude. Got more than most would have out of all the fundamentally flawed rosters he was given. Always played to his players’ strengths. Will do well wherever he goes. www.cbssports.com/nba/news/bil...

Well this wasn’t the podcast I was expecting today. Steve Palazzolo, Mike Renner and particularly @sammonson.bsky.social did not spare the details on the demise of @profootballfocus.bsky.social. As a PFF fan since the mid-2010s this was weirdly cathartic. www.youtube.com/live/EHZBH3E...

There's nothing quite like March basketball. Spurs up by almost 30 inside the second quarter. The joys of being an NBA fan in the UK who has to take what he can get with the early slate games.

Chicago Bulls trade Coby White to the Charlotte Hornets for a package including Collin Sexton

After seven years with the team, Coby White no longer will wear a Chicago Bulls jersey.

Richard Crossan @richardcrossan.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

Busy day for AKME. Trading him is long past due but Vooch has been a pro’s pro every second he’s been in Chicago. He’ll be remembered warmly in the future.

000

Richard Crossan @richardcrossan.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

I assume this heralds the end for Coby White in Chicago very shortly (or less likely, Ayo Dosunmu). This trade looks good for the Bulls on the face of it - getting Ivey essentially for free, only taking on an expiring Mike Conley (who will get Jevon Carter’s veteran bench PG vibes role).

000

Richard Crossan @richardcrossan.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Every team that gets offered Dennis Schröder in a trade package says “yeah, he’s pretty good, we could probably flip him as part of a package for someone better.” Six months later the process repeats. This summer Schröder will be traded from the Cavs to the (shakes magic 8 ball) Bucks.

With Morgan Moses about to get a 90% playing time bonus, it’s worth looking at just how much Doug Marrone has contributed to a great season for the #Patriots. He’s even turned Vederian Lowe into a serviceable swing tackle! musketfire.com/overlooked-p...

One of the few times a season my #ChicagoBulls play in a reasonable evening slot for UK fans. Off back to back wins against the Cavs I'm hoping for a continued upward trajectory but realistically expecting Jalen Johnson to feast on a total lack of rim protection. Trae will remain Ayo's son however

It turns out that post-All Star break Josh Giddey is just the real Josh Giddey. If he carries on averaging 23/10/9 he’s going to be an All Star himself.

010

Richard Crossan @richardcrossan.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

What a win-win trade this turned out to be. Caruso played a key role in getting OKC a title. Bulls now 20-5 in their last 25 with Giddey running the show.

Immanuel Quickley got $32.5m per year, RJ Barrett got $27.7m. Giddey’s ceiling is higher than either of them. This is a good deal. It can still go sideways if he doesn’t continue to develop but if you believe in post-All Star break Giddey’s 20/10/9, this can look very cheap very soon

Trading in your car at a dealership was always paying for convenience and we understood that. These days they just take the piss though - offering £3,000 less than the Motorway price? I might pay for convenience but not to the tune of three grand.

Glad to see the Bulls get this deal done. $8m p/a is a great price for a high quality backup PG who played some really good ball last season. Means we can still push the pace and generate transition buckets when Giddey is off the floor. And that’s a very tradeable contract if needed
