Sadly that's not correct. Russian export-grade automotive gasoil conforms to European Standard EN590 which is actually more stringent than American specifications.

I think that may partly be because Tom Holland doesn't have the journalist's eye for a scoundrel, or a juicy scandal or a killer quote, the way Dominic does. Which of course isn't helped by the nature of ancient source material. The samurai series ought to have been thrilling, but it was soporific.

Oradea is such a pretty city, I love it. Sighet itself is no great shakes, but obviously the former prison is an incredibly powerful memorial and worth the journey. And the village of Certeze, on the way from Oradea, is definitely worth visiting for someone interested in the effects of borders...
