rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 2hIn advance of this (predicted) post, I played Meddle yesterday evening whilst preparing evening meal. Hmmmm, apart from One of These Days and Echoes there wasn’t much that I enjoy (anymore). Blimey how the years can change listening habits. Love both those tracks on Gilmour’s Live in Gdańsk though 010

I don't think I have heard a more coherent, articulate and accurate deconstruction & demolition of Nigel Farage's ReformUK, Tory & Restore policy than this. In under 85 seconds! @rafaelbehr.bsky.social is on here folks and worth a follow. 621756729
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 3hOooh; now there’s a surprise. That said it would be close with Nursery Cryme. Both contain songs where the band are at their peak, but also a couple of skippable ones - Epping Forest being one of them 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 3hI have several of their brilliant brochures. Highly recommended 010

rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 3hI’ve mentioned elsewhere that Farke not only wants good footballers at the Club, he wants good men. 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 3hFantastic; Farke doesn’t just want good footballers at the Club, he wants good men. 000
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 20hNever been to Kos, Phil; it’s on our list of Greek Isles to visit. We visit Crete twice a year in May and Aug/September - Mrs has daughters and grandkids there - she lived in Athens for 32 yrs after marrying a Greek chap in the early 80’s. She’s fluent in Greek so I’m lazy with the lingo. Enjoy 😎 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 14/10/2026Was waiting for a debate when you had this at no 2; so pleased to see it here. Sides 1&2 majestic but The Waiting Room on side 3 is their Revolution 9, and side 4 is patchy for me. Never “got” the story so I just enjoy the music/songs which in the main are superb. 020
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 14/10/2026Would sneak in front of Meddle for me, or maybe not 🤷🏼♂️ 010

rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Spot on Phil: another album that hit me between the eyes on first release, and tbh for some time. As the years have rolled on I never play it start to finish. But I have edited it down to a single album playlist which is just fine for me. The killer songs are great, they are songs after all 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Fabulous album; would be in my Genesis top 5, but as you say, all bangers from here on in. 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Would exchange places with Piper. But hey it’s Floyd so it’s great 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Tbh I prefer Duke and self titled but cannot fail to appreciate its impact at the time and its place in the Genesis canon. 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Predictably Sunday Supplement give a brief nod to Leeds then proceed to tell us why Arse were sluggish and rescued by their subs: Leeds performance not acknowledged as to why Arse couldn’t get a foot in the game for the first hour. MOTD even worse , a brief shout that Leeds did ok then all Arsenal. 020
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 11/10/2026As you say Side 1 is really good but the album does drop off on side 2; Sorrow tries hard but drags way too long 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Piper was the album along with Moodies’ Seventh Sojourn that found themselves the most played in our 6th firm common room despite being released a few years apart. Always loved it 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Superb album, and I love the dvd with band interviews. A triumph 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Longstaff would have been a better bet today; experienced and physically stronger thsn Aaronson/Wilson. What’s wrong with getting Bahoya on for Okafor - a straight swap, supposedly fastest player in the Bundesliga; get him out there. Why isn’t Okafor fit enough for 90 mins? Good debate David 120
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026My worry is the lack of fitness of Okafor & Stach, and Farke’s blind spot of hooking Tanaka & Okafor for Aaronson & Wilson every time who clearly aren’t good enough for whatever reason. Surely Farke isn’t so blind to see we are severely weakened every time he makes this call. Great effort today tho 120
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Team weakened when Okafor and Tanaka subd by Aaronson and Wilson. Did he seriously think they would offer more 😤 000
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Hard to take when the despicable Arteta stalks the touchline berating officials every game. He’s learnt a lot from Pep having players giving away so called professional fouls, play for fouls and go down at the slightest touch. Can remember Leeds under Revie getting slated for their professionalism 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Knopfler right up there with Gilmour for me. Saw the Straits and MK solo a couple of times. Have all his solo stuff and gets regular plays hereabouts. Check out DS Tunnel of Love live on YouTube - sensational solo that knocks just about everything else out of the park. 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Farke hooks Tanaka and Okafor every game for Arrondon and Wilson. Both weak and offer nothing. Gnonto always made an impact . Farke has credit in the bank but he’s dropped a bollok over this. Jon Newsome on radio Leeds spot on - Arronson and Wilson not good enough. 110
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Great effort. As usual Tanaka and Okafor hooked for Arrondon and Wilson who are both weak and as Jon Newsome states, not good enough. Neither as good as Gnonto who always made an impact. Farke has credit in the bank but he’s dropped a bollok here. 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Ah, Young Joe strikes again. The font of all football knowledge. 000
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Side 1 is right up there for me, topped off by the brilliant Burning Rope. Alas side 2 is a snooze fest and ending with Follow You….which has never buttered my parsnips. 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Marmite is the word, Phil, and tbh as with the aforementioned cupboard filler, I usually leave this well alone. Can’t remember the last time I played this all the way through; do enjoy Gilmour’s solo tour version of Fat Old Sun with the standout solo. 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Coming off the back of No Jacket, did we expect anything other than a radio friendly album? Side 1 hits the spot and is great on the Alexa when cooking the evening meal 😉. Domino and The Brazilian save side 2 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Can’t argue; but I do play this all the way through every now and then 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Consistently his best imo; Brainwashed possibly no 2; can’t remember the last time I played All Things Must Pass from start to finish ( sides 1&2,): the jams a waste of vinyl 020
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Side 2 a total waste of time for me; only have Mama and Home By Tbe Sea 1&2 on my alternative Genesis playlist from this album 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Eze also a minus for me: all the ability but zero impact. Thought he looked better at Palace thsn Arsenal tbh 000
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Wonder if he has any from when Leeds played there in the 60’s and 70’s: 1965 v Locomotiv Leipzig 1970 v Dynamo Dresden 1972 v Carl Zeiss Jena 100

rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Great idea you have here Phil to while away your days on Kos 😎. Keep it going, sir 010
rich57h.bsky.social @rich57h.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Loved it back in the day; thought I was the dogs bollox at school having Floyd as my no 1 playing weird music that wasn’t on Top of The Pops. But once Meddle and then Dark Side came along it was noticeably one of those “stepping stone” records. Relics though is still one of my favourites, spookily 010
