I’ve been working on this for 3 months and I’m finally moving my hoop for the last time. It looks pretty cool though!

the world is devastating and horrible but the feel of my dog’s heartbeat against the sole of my foot as I fall asleep every night gives me some weird flicker of goodness and hope

truly wild how fast cornea’s heal. after 2.5 days of extreme pain and zero eyesight, today I woke up with NO pain and my sight is almost back to what it was. thank fuck.

get yourself a partner who will sacrifice her birthday celebrations to diligently take care of you after the dog tried to blind you. (also it is SO BORING (and wickedly painful) waiting for a corneal abrasion to heal.)

spent yesterday driving for 5 hours, talking to many extended family members and grieving my aunt. today i drove for another 3 hours, took my mom to lunch, and talked with more family. it’s been a mostly lovely weekend but I’m EXHAUSTED.

took pto today just for the hell of it and spent the entire day (excluding 30 minutes to walk the dogs) sitting on the couch cross stitching while watching tv. it was glorious.

also I recently moved my work desk and compute into my room and I can’t at all figure out what I want to put on the wall behind it. just a picture or 2 feels boring. definitely don’t want a mirror. a decorative shelf would be fun but I have to be careful with the monitors since the desk rises. idkkk

better shot of the white storage cabinet that has nail polish display and a decorative box atop it. the wall has good mirror hexagons.

before and after shot of my closet which I’ve been working on for the past couple weeks. absolutely loving how it came out.

the inside of a white walk-in closet with a wire l-shaped rack along the left, two wooden storage pieces in the floor, and various items on the top shelf. it appears very messy and chaotic.

the inside of a closet, now a light green with a white storage unit on the left and two clothes racks on the far side. it’s much cleaner and better organized.

after 2 straight weeks of home improvement stuff i spent most of yesterday and tonight sitting on the new couch and binging s1 of the traitors and oh boy did i not a) imagine i’d grow so invested and downright fond of some of those people or b) find the ending so emotionally devastating

eight hours into having new couch and joon is totally ok with it but kaja is highly suss, mostly due to the noises the recliner machine makes lol and the fact that she can’t vault over it like an olympic high jumper

new recliner, couch, and ottoman!!! joon’s already made herself comfortable. can’t blame her, really.

idk who this author is but this pretty wild??? 😳😳 (for context: i am pianoforrplay and that dedication is ABSOLUTELY about spn omegaverse fic)

screenshot of an ao3 comment stating ‘I just opened Mate by Ali Hazelwood and it’s dedicated to you?!?!?! I have no one I can explain this to, incredible. 😂 Hope you are well!!! Much love’

screenshot from a web search stating: “Ali Hazelwood's dedication in her book Mate (the sequel to Bride) is a shoutout to specific LiveJournal users and anonymous prompters, thanking them: "To LiveJournal users tehdirtiestsock, the_miss_iv, and pianoforeplay, as well as the anonymous prompters. I hope you're thriving, wherever you are". This dedication honors online fans who engaged with her work, especially concerning the popular vampire/werewolf romance themes.”
