Did you know that a rhino's horn isn't attached to its skull? Similar to how our hair & nails grow, the rhino's horn is a dense mass of fibers separate from the bone of its skull that continuously grows over the rhino's lifetime. It's also made of keratin, just like our hair & nails.

How do greater one-horned rhinos fight? Not how you might think. While their horns might seem like their main weapon, these massive creatures actually rely on something unexpected in combat - their lower canine teeth! These weapons are no joke, they're sharp, effective tools for defense and attack.
