Tampopo! 🍝 The scene transitions are so much fun. Some are so seamless that you get 3 minutes into a scene and go "wait, this isn't the storyline!" and it's still enjoying and entertaining anyways.

Proof I made one of the required pilgrimages when in Seattle. Taken on my Pentax 17, Kentmere 400 #filmphotography

Our Tacoma had the original plugs and wires from '95 as well! They were still in pretty good condition. The Firebird's must still be pretty good if it's running well enough and driving around.

This is mostly for my western WA critters: I'm making a goal to photograph as many small WA state USPS Post Offices as I can! I'll be shooting with my Pentax P3 & CineStill BWXX film, then try something else once my X-700 is refoamed. I'm making a Google Maps list, so any locations are appreciated!

Dude I forced myself to run every morning for years. Hated every second of it. Went through two pairs of running shoes. Then I finally figured out I didn't like it, and now I bike on a less regular cadence and absolutely love it, it feels so good. You gotta find what you enjoy!

Got this sick lens setup for the X-700 from an awesome local camera shop! It's a Vivitar 75-205mm zoom lens w/ a matched 2x multiplier, making it a 150-410mm! Got the pair for $40, still in boxes (and the boxes have price stickers of $300 and $75 originally! Stoked to refoam the X-700 and get at it!

I'd recommend 2007-2008 if possible, as Toyota fixed an oil consumption issue that can crop up on U.S. models. They're a Corolla underneath, so not exactly exhilarating, but still a fun lil romper and a good road trip car (I forgot to mention they have a built-in 120V inverter, right up front!).

Not to toot my own horn, but I think I may have some ideas. First idea: 2004-2008 Toyota Matrix XR - 27mpg average - tons of space inside - remote unlock - double-DIN for CarPlay/Android Auto head unit - 4WD optional if you can find/want it - cheap and cheerful, lots of junkyard availability

Prelude update: My 9-year-old kludge fix of cutting off the end of the heater hose after it leaked at the neck finally gave out! The old hose was so swollen. Good thing I bought a replacement those 9 years ago! Now's as good of time as ever to put it in.

New camera Tuesday! This is a special one for me. My wonderful wife @tuftluck.bsky.social got me this Minolta X-700 for our anniversary! It came with an MD 50mm and a Tokina 70-210mm. This was the first type of camera I ever shot film on, courtesy of my late father.
