Lead programmer for Nanite Systems Consumer Products. This account is a bit unvarnished at the moment and may occasionally post obscene things. I wouldn't want my parents to see it, let's say.

@lisagui.com I really want to use LisaGUI on my 1080p monitor but I can't cope with the scaling artifacts. Can you pretty please add options for 1:1 or 1:2 pixels? You could add a warning saying it isn't the intended look. 1:1 would also be useful for outputting to monitors with non-square pixels.
An example of the scaling issue described in the post. A fragment of the LisaGUI Preferences application running under the Firefox web browser. It shows the checkboxes "Startup & Shutdown", "Set Regional Options", "Set Touchscreen Options", "Developer", and the radio buttons for "Set screen inversion:" ("Normal" and "Inverted"). All of the text has been fit using nearest-neighbor scaling to a binarized grid despite having a non-integral pixel aspect ratio, resulting in some rows of pixels being twice as tall as others. The overall effect is haphazard and distracting, as the periodicity of the enlarged pixels does not match the pitch of the text.

I miss when programming language theory was about more than just type systems.
