My final #FastenOffYAL FO is the "Edifice Tote Bag" by Made with Love and Fibre. This was my first time doing intarsia colorwork in #Crochet 🧶 and it was easier than I expected, lol. I love the overall graphic effect.

My 4th finished object for this year's #FastenOffYAL is the "Cloak of Visibility" by Red and the Wolf Designs. I used a Scheepjes Whirl and a matching Whirlette for this project, and I am really pleased with how the lace sections lined up with the shifting colors. #Knitting🧶

#FOFriday My #CivitasSpiralisKAL shawl from designer @needlefoxarts.bsky.social is finished, blocked, and ready to wear! 🎉 I used Zebra fingering from Always Be Kind Yarn. I love these soft colors with the pops of black. I figured out that folding the shawl in half makes it easy to wear. #Knitting 🧶

#NewWIP I cast on a slightly modified version of the "Niobe Jumper" by Kari Helene-Rane. I'm holding sock yarn with a fuzzy laceweight to get gauge, and I modified the construction slightly to start with a provisional cast on instead of trying to work Kitchener St. at the end. #Knitting 🧶 #KnitSky

A baby hummingbird was found on the farm today, fallen from the nest. The folks fed it sugar water from a syringe and set it in a small box in a tree so it is visible to the other hummingbirds. The cute little thing is super sleepy now that it has a full belly. 💚 #FarmLife #Hummingbird #Wildlife

The #CivitasSpiralisKAL starts today and I am already loving this #knit shawl project from designer @needlefoxarts.bsky.social I'm using Always Be Kind Yarn in a colorway dyed for the brand new LYS @stringfieldyarn.bsky.social . This shawl celebrates community and I am excited to participate. 🧶

#ShowMeYourKnits I finished this cabled cardigan for my partner last Autumn. The pattern is "Fisherman Shawl Collar" by Mari Sweaters, and I used Hikoo Sueño yarn. This project was intense! The pattern came with written instructions only, so I translated them into Stitchfiddle charts. #KnitSky

Yesterday I cast on my first brand new project of 2025. This is a heavily modified version of "Maze Socks" by Sarah Shepherd from the Knit Picks collection "Rockin' Socks". I have a love/hate relationship with #SockKnitting. But the mods I am implementing here may be key to getting a good fit. 🤞

A partially knit sock is slipped over the toe of a person's foot. The foot is resting against a teal colored pillow. The sock features a solid black toe in a slightly textured stitch and a zig-zagging mosaic pattern that stretches across the top of the foot. The pattern is worked in a bright yarn speckled with neon hues, which pops against the black. The second partially knit sock rests on the pillow to the right of the foot. The sole is facing up, and features a slightly textured stripe pattern in place of the mosaic. Several strands of yarn cascade off of the pillow and collect in a loose tangle at the bottom of the frame. A few strands extend upward, connected to cakes of black yarn and speckled neon yarn resting in bowls on top of the pillow.

I finally got pics of my first 2 finished knitting projects for the 2025 #FastenOffYAL. The "Arkenstone" sweater & "Arkenstone Hat" were designed by Orchard House Editing and Design. I love the combo of the intricate stitch pattern & overall shape of the sweater, plus the crown detail on the hat! 💙

So I'm curious... How do people actually FEEL in regard to the recent "drone" and UAP sightings across the globe? Disregard for a moment what you THINK about them. Personally, I feel curious, imaginative, excited, uplifted. If this is just a distraction, I welcome it. This mystery feels FUN.
