This is very good from Labour. Specifically an Governing body looking into Private equity causing problems, and could open routes to other Private Equity interests in wider public services such as Elderly Social care in which they are destroying council budgets also being looked at👍

The FTSE 100 company, which has more than 800
Premier Inn hotels in the UK, has been under pressure from American activist investor Corvex, a New York-based hedge fund, to rethink its business strategy.
The hedge fund said in December it had taken a 6.05% stake in Whitbread, making it the company's second biggest single shareholder. It said at the time Whitbread's share price undervalued some of its assets, including its UK portfolio of leasehold properties.

The move will involve Whitbread selling and leasing back £1.5bn of its freehold properties.
Unusually for the hotel sector, the company owns a significant proportion of its hotels, although it said it now intended to "recycle" £1.5bn to "fund future growth" and would increasingly hope to lease its hotels.

How do Tasers work?
The Taser fires two small dart-like electrodes, which stay connected to the main unit by conductive wire.
They are propelled by small compressed nitrogen charges. The electrodes are pointed to penetrate clothing and barbed to prevent removal once in place.
When the Taser pulse is applied to the body, either through clothing or directly on the skin, electrical current flows. This current activates nerves under th skin which then cause muscles to contract. When th happens, the contractions produced by the Taser override a person's ability to make voluntary movements - the person will not be able to run away or physically attack someone. This muscular incapacitation only continues for as long as the Taser discharge is applied.
