No sooner has the longstanding mystery of the LRSA City Trail plaques been solved than I stumble upon another. This ‘E’ is on St Martins East which runs along the East side of Leicester Cathedral. Needless to say I neglected to check whether there’s a matching ‘W’ on St Martins West, but… why?

Love these two, which despite covers to the contrary are not in fact the same records. The Affinity release is a reissue of the 1956 Bethlehem Records release ‘This Time The Drum's On Me’ which had a terrific Burt Goldblatt cover design. Grand Stan (1957) has the original cool sleeve. #Vinyl #Jazz

Dolmen del Monte Freddone (Alpi Apuane): The most strikingly situated dolmen I have ever seen writes Ciatology. It lies in the magnificent Apuan Alps, on the ridge between Monte Paglino and Monte Freddone - though actually closer to Paglino.
