The new Masquerade Clock works similar to items in Garage Workshop: they won’t work after purchasing. Your Sim need to wind it up to make it work. You need to at least wind it up twice for it to start working. The maintenance of the clock decays overtime.

In a game where ghosts have multiple ways to revive, they expanded upon ghost gameplay and three in Reincarnation so your Sims aren’t “gone” forever. The balance is actually amazing. But I myself also cannot play with some mods that are too micro-managing or realistic, like health related mods.

I think Life & Death actually did a good job in drawing the line between reality and quirky. There are traumatic stuff like deathbed, funeral and saying goodbye; but also quirky stuffs like ghost powers, reincarnation, and being a reaper.
