While it’s important to be clear that Synod has not done anything to change the C of E’s position on same sex marriage for the clergy, “Issues in Human Sexuality” was a horrible, harmful document (used as it was never intended to be). I’m so glad it’s now consigned to history, on such a clear vote.

Inspired by medieval history, the Rector of St Peter and St Paul, Fakenham, the Revd Tracy Jessop, will be pulling pints of the church’s own ale at the Norfolk town’s annual Gin and Beer Festival this weekend

Visited the lovely people at Barsham Brewery to see our beer, Two Apostles, coming together. Happy to keep the medieval tradition of Church Ales alive! The Fakenham Beer and Gin Festival is on 21/22 March. @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social

I should add, amongst all the planning, preparation, praying that goes with services in the moment, as a leader it isn’t always easy to worship and be fed. Today I am full. #DeoGratis

A verse from Psalm 69, set for today’s Evening Prayer: ‘Those who would destroy me are mighty; my enemies accuse me falsely: must I now give back what I never stole?’ It might have come straight from President Zelenskyy if he hadn’t been shouted down in the Oval Office. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

A prayer for the Church. Most merciful God, we confess to you, before the whole company of heaven and one another, that we have sinned in thought, word and deed and in what we have failed to do. Forgive us our sins, heal us by your Spirit and raise us to new life in Christ. Amen.

Epiphanytide. The manifestation of Christ, revealed to the Magi at birth, revealed at baptism by John, when God’s voice from heaven reveals Jesus as His beloved Son; revealed at Cana with Jesus’ first miracle. Rounded off at Candlemas - a light to the Gentiles and the glory of God’s people.
