God's introduction of free will has to negate any claim of omniscience, for one. How can we have full freedom to choose if God determines our choice by discernment? Consider that would solidify the quantum possibilities and determine the state of Schrodinger's cat. God's choice then, not ours.

There is a theory that punishment deters others from committing similar crimes. That is not true for murderers and killing Hasan makes him a martyr. Plus the sickening display of execution destroys basic human dignity to such an extent that it cheapens our own lives. Better to put Hegseth in jail.

I have been watching Thom Tillis, a retiring Republican senator, explaining his voting to not impeach Trump after Jan 6. "If you can impeach Trump, no Democratic president would be safe either." Frankly, if Obama had staged a violent insurrection, I would support impeaching him.

Congress has the power to limit the jurisdiction of the federal courts. Do it. No appellate jurisdiction for the Supreme Court without a fully adjudicated final judgment from the District Courts and a full review with a decision by one of the 12 federal appeal courts.
