Playing with the idea of Osmund getting attached to his "Orlund" form and deciding to build his definitive identity from it

Sharing this ask I got on Tumblr here, cuz I'm pretty sure some people have the same curiosity 👀

"Who could've thought that replacing your host's memories with your own would have such interesting side effects?"

Lmao the complete chart is even crazier

I love giving this character branching forms and identities, it's almost like he's his own family tree

An alternate, transformation method Osmund also enjoys. Especially when he's feeling nostalgic about his Beast days

Exploring their different body shape and language is fun

Perfecting and establishing yourself is a slow, but delightful process.

During his first incarnation, even before his cult leader days, Osmund used to be a priest for a brief period of his life. But, after a few years of servitude, he got excommunicated from the institution after being found out studying dark, forbidden topics.

Trying to come up with a younger design of him if that scenario ever happens. He would still prefer his older form, though

Ohhhh I initially didn't think about the scientific side of such scenario, but this sounds so fascinating and illustrates well what's going on. Idk if Osmund did that intentionally, but I like how his "Orly" feels kinda more exaggerated and theatrical compared to the original one

Being this clueless brings him a strange sense of enjoyment

Unexpected side effect of possessing someone non stop for a few years: you start to forget how your host originally looked like, making impersonating him from memory quite difficult.

I missed drawing this creature being unhinged

Beast and Osmund have quite different approaches when it comes to transformation. Which one is your favorite?

Despite having a main, favorite appearance, I can totally imagine Osmund assuming different human personas when he's bored. Why only have a single face when you can have many more at your disposal?

Osmund can manifest himself in various ways... including as an evil possessing tie.

Reverse Beast @reversejv.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

When he possesses a younger vessel, he always use his shapeshifting powers to transform the host into his default, older self. Osmund is very narcissistic about his appearance. He wants it eternalize it, like a living monument. A living, visual proof of his existence, for him and others to see.

Reverse Beast @reversejv.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

There's a common trope involving possession that I really wanted to subvert with Osmund: the "old person/entity possesses younger bodies to look and remain young forever". Osmund is the opposite of that, he's not ashamed of looking older, he ENJOYS it.
