When you're reading a non-fiction account about Apollo written in 1969 and you're hit with half a chapter of racism out of nowhere 🤢 That's getting dnf'ed & unhauled 🙃 Also, it's already an excerpt so why would you reprint that in 2015??

This was an interesting book infusing the supernatural with Hollywood. I feel like the ending was a bit rushed and abrupt. I feel like lengthening that would have helped. Having actual time with one character rather than just commentary to her would have helped as well.

Love the actual Princess Bride story but I was arguing with the commentary half the time, lol. Norms were very different in the 70's. Anyway, watch the movie. It's a classic.

First volume was as cute as I remember the show being. Second volume got more into relationship problems but still very sweet overall. Protagonist needs to stop calling himself so old though. He's only 40 😭

A bit more a disjointed volume because of *spoilers* but ooh, their time on the boat 🤭🤭🤭 Once I finish, I'll need to go back & reread because I know there's things i'm not picking up on. Only 1 more volume 😢

Very normie of me I know but I am genuinely hype for this. The book is heavily focused on the way that the media is complicit in fascism and I really hope that comes through in adaptation. Regardless the cast and the aesthetic are very promising.

Part 1 of a duology of side novels in this world. It's not as interesting as the main storyline or the other side novels. It took 150 pages (and switching to ebook) to really get into it. Overall an enjoyable experience but it's probably not one i'll come back to much.

Saw this exhibit last year. These models are created based on Da Vinci's illustrations. Some of those illustrations were representations of technology at the time, some were theoretical adjustments to technology and some were just theories he came up with.

Some books are better in physical book format & some are better in ebook format. It shouldn't make that much of a difference but it does. Reading one now where I only managed 1 chapter physically but 250 pages on the ebook 🤷‍♀️ I've had the opposite happen too.

The last 2 volumes. I'm glad a I took a break before reading these so I could enjoy them more since they contain some of my favorite scenes. This was somehow both more censored and less censored than I thought it would be though, haha.

The story is but but the book is a good example of one that could have used a localization versus a direct translation. Sexy scenes are not written the same across countries and what may seem great in one language often does not translate well.

I'd only read the original Anne a long time ago. Why does my 3 in one skip a volume?? It's kind of a important one to understand the next one. Having read these now, i'm very glad I dod not live in those times. The casual misogyny in the books was driving me insane.

Kind of a disappointing book after Harrow the Ninth. Nona is just kind of a bland character & I don't know that there was that much value in having that long of a school arc. I think extending the last bit with some more explanations would have been better.
