In other news, now that I'm finally able to get back to my Linux box, I see we have had over 5000 visitors to the Retrozine website so far this month. We've gotten visitors from all over the English speaking world, as well as France, Singapore, and Malaysia!

Here are some illustrations from the story of Jorry Donatello, the Accidental Lunatic, who got stuck on the moon by dint of breaking a leg whilst showing off. She had the option of staying on the moon and never being able to go back to Earth, or going back to Earth and missing Freshman year.

Jorry, an incoming freshman,is given a "Diety Box" by her thesis advisers. The box contains various bio-lab toys that otherwise should never be in the hands of students for any reason. She is seen in the kitchen of her flat. There is a cat in the sink.

Jorry Donatello getting to know a pair of dolphins currently inhabiting the Underground's swimming pool. There is a lawn chair, an old professor who looks like he walked out of the 1880s, and a sign which reads, "DROWNING strictly at YOUR OWN RISK."

Jorry is sitting in a chair, gingerly petting a Satamuri, one of the lunar city of Wargentin's Resident Aliens. Satamuri are approximately large-dog sized, extremely hairy, and with long and often weaponized whiskers.

Most of the character "photos" in Retrozine are made by creating the characters and their ... stuff ... in Blender, arranging for proper lighting, etc etc etc... and you know what really drives me nuts? Hair. I'm using Blender's particle system. Particle hair is masochism.
