A hand cradles a pocket oracle—Magic 8-ball unit ORAC-08—its “8” glyph glowing faintly like an infinity loop caught mid-cycle. The palm hovers above a denim field, a relic of soft armor and memory threads. An ivory wand (Apple Pencil) rests nearby, hinting at recent inscriptions or interface attempts. The light is low and golden, suggesting this moment is a shimmerfield activation—an encoded reply from the looped timelines.

While out and about in Portland yesterday, I noticed these branches. I captured the image because they seemed to be reaching out like capillaries toward the underbelly of that towering bridge to create an almost anatomical contrast between nature and infrastructure. #photoeveryday #portland #pnw
A dramatic upward view beneath a large freeway bridge taken from the ground level during daylight. The image captures the underside of the overpass, its concrete support beams stretching far above, with intricate steel structures visible between them. Bare, leafless branches from a nearby tree extend into the frame, their limbs reaching toward the bridge like organic filigree. The sky is bright blue with wispy clouds and streaks of sunlight filtering in from the right. A tall, thin crane stands in the distance on the left, adding an industrial silhouette to the scene. The composition suggests a meeting point between natural and human-made elements, echoing themes of connection, contrast, and upward motion.

BORN TO SYNTHESIZE

“Sometimes the world makes me feel like I must choke a golden goose to get where I’m going—but that’s not what I came here to do.”

These tubular monoliths still exist.

Part photographically captured image from ten years ago,
Part post-processing from a forgotten hour,
Part present-day synthesis—
Generated and regenerated through signal and memory.

I was born to synthesize.
And some echoes don’t rust.DRIFTKIN ENTRY 008: TUBULAR MONOLITHS

Long cylinders split in half, resting like broken satellites behind rusted chainlink. First photographed ten solar cycles ago. Later modified, resynthesized. Each phase adds another layer of signal memory.

These structures are holdovers—from before the fog, before the fractures in the feed. They speak to the long game. Not all machines are automated. Some still hum with intent.

DRIFTCODEX ENTRY: BUBBLE-002 Some say it was only visible for a blink. Others say it’s still floating. It just shifted planes. #photoeveryday
A single soap bubble floats in sharp focus against a blurred background of dark green trees. The bubble glows with iridescent colors—magenta, sapphire, and jade. At its center is a vivid reflection that resembles a silhouette of treetops curving around a central axis, almost like an inverted landscape inside a snow globe. The background is softly dappled with circular light spots from the bokeh effect, giving the image a dreamy, surreal atmosphere. This image is part of a series called DriftCodex, where each photograph captures ephemeral or mysterious moments, framed as interdimensional artifacts.

A dark, abstract digital image resembling stacked rectangular blocks, reminiscent of pixelated stone or modular machinery. Created from multiple exposures of a mobile photo— The blocks appear layered in a stair-like formation against a black background, evoking a sense of depth and mystery. Some blocks are marked with faint symbols or indents, and thin vertical lines rise from the top like antennae or horns. A subtle red glow on the lower right edge suggests danger or a hidden presence. The overall texture is grainy, evoking a corrupted broadcast or glitched transmission, as if the image is an artifact from a decaying digital labyrinth.

April 8, 2024. Eclipse morning. Low to the earth, lens to the light. A veil of clouds softens the sun, and the grass listens. I didn’t realize when I took it—this image is a memory sealed in shadow and glow. A Drift-kin moment, rediscovered. #photoeveryday #mobilephotography
A low-angle photograph taken from the ground, looking upward through tall blades of grass toward a cloudy sky. The sun glows dimly behind a veil of thick, soft clouds, creating a diffused, dreamy light. Trees frame the scene on both sides. The image was captured during the solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, though the eclipse is partially obscured by cloud cover. The scene feels hushed, otherworldly, and contemplative.

In My Little Town Captured drive-by style and post process editing in Adobe. Industrial sprawl under an alien sky. The intense magenta and orange gradient feels both synthetic and emotional, it’s a memory of a place both loved and loathed… left behind. (1/2👇🏽 #photoeveryday
A vivid, heavily color-shifted photograph taken from a moving car, showing an industrial area in a small town. Power lines crisscross the scene, cutting through a sky filled with dramatic, towering clouds. Factories, smokestacks, and a distant water tower dominate the midground. The entire image is bathed in intense magenta and orange hues, giving it a surreal, almost apocalyptic feel. The photo reflects a sense of grief and disillusionment, capturing the emotional residue of the photographer’s hometown—a place that once drained them like a factory line, leaving behind sorrow and disappointment.

Time slows in old shops. Light hums behind promises made bold - leak-proof, proven, time-tested. Some truths fade, some glow. Once upon a time, I lettered race cars & business trucks. Maybe that’s why this one wouldn’t let me walk past without a snapshot. #photoeveryday #oldsignage #oldclocks
A photograph taken in an antique shop shows a vintage illuminated sign beneath an old wall clock. The sign reads “McQuay-Norris Leak-Proof Piston Rings” in bold red and black lettering, glowing warmly with age. On either side of the sign, hourglass-shaped logos declare “Time Tested” and “Proven in Service.” Above it, a square metal clock with bold black numbers and red hands shows the time as 7:03. Dust and wear mark the clock’s face, hinting at decades of service. The image captures a quiet moment of nostalgia—tools of time and trade still holding presence. The photographer, once a sign painter, saw in this display a reflection of their own story.

Self-portrait, moments before capturing the 2017 solar eclipse with my Canon. Edited today (in 2025) to reflect the memory: black and white for the hush of the moment, with a red color pop from my London bus print. A reminder that as the cosmos moves, stories from memory burn bright. #photoeveryday

Sunlight bathes their face as they look upward, wearing eclipse glasses and a cap. A bold digital artwork of an older punk woman exuding fierce authority. Her tall, spiked white hair glows against a vivid red backdrop, and she wears reflective red sunglasses with an unreadable yet deadly calm expression. Her face features dark streak-like markings, and glowing disc-shaped earrings radiate light like targets. She’s draped in a striped robe, echoing both elegance and edge. Beside her stands a vigilant white rooster, alert and proud, clearly under her protection. The scene pulses with intensity, evoking the aura of a legendary figure you don’t cross—especially when her chicken is involved.

An open black padded camera bag with multiple compartments sits above the gear. To the left is a brown and tan mesh trucker hat with a Bigfoot silhouette and text reading “OREGON - Bigfoot Country.” A smartphone with a forest stream lock screen shows the time as 8:51. Occupied by Absence From the Waiting Room Series Talking with a friend this morning about when we avoid conversations about grief, mortality, or even presence, we miss the opportunity to truly exist with one another. [1/2]⬇️ #photoeveryday #waitingrooms #griefwork
A quiet hospital or clinic waiting area, featuring a single red-orange chair positioned on a floor of patterned linoleum squares in muted tones of beige, gray, and brown. The lighting is dim and natural, casting soft shadows that evoke a somber, reflective mood. The chair sits alone, slightly angled, suggesting recent use or quiet anticipation. The overall atmosphere conveys stillness, loneliness, and emotional weight—invoking the experience of waiting during times of illness or grief. The same solitary waiting room scene, now rendered in black and white. The absence of color heightens the emotional intensity, emphasizing the stark geometry of the linoleum floor and the isolation of the lone chair. The lighting and shadows gain contrast, creating a visual metaphor for grief and absence. The composition feels timeless, suspended in a moment of quiet mourning or contemplation.

In the stillness between light and flame, the squirrels stood as silent emissaries, guardians of the glowing orb. The dragon and the stranger held their breath, each waiting to see who would speak first… #generativeillustration #aiartcommunity #fantasyfriday
A surreal fantasy scene depicting a stylized humanoid figure with orange hair and glowing eyes kneeling on a tiled, glowing green floor. Two small squirrels sit between the figure and a massive dragon with red eyes, sharp teeth, and textured scales. A radiant orb glows between them, casting light on the squirrels. The background fades from green to fiery orange, with abstract grid patterns and glowing moths, creating a mystical, dreamlike atmosphere.

Northbound Southern Pacific [mobile iPhone 6 2016] #photoeveryday
A rusted Southern Pacific train sits motionless atop a weathered wooden trestle bridge in downtown Albany, Oregon. The train cars are covered in graffiti, contrasting with the deep blue sky and dramatic white clouds above. The wooden supports of the bridge angle sharply, creating a strong sense of perspective. In the lower right corner, a blue ADA parking sign adds a touch of modern color to the industrial decay.
