Playing through several of the Shantae games at the moment. I hadn't even heard of them before, let alone played them but (one or two frustrations aside) they are really good fun! Love it when you discover a new game series you enjoy.

Just learned that as well as the original Bayeaux Tapestry in London, free full scale replicas are available to view in Tewkesbury Abbey and Reading Museum. Presumably the organisers don't know there is a north of the country or are reenacting their own version of the Norman Harrying of the North?

I'm a #StHelens fan through and through and have been since the early 80s. However, above all, I'm a #RugbyLeague fan and this season it's clear only #Wigan and #Leeds (and to a lesser extent #Wakefield) are even close to the standard #SuperLeague needs to be at.

Worrying that the body slam tackle seems to have crept back into #RugbyLeague. There's been at least 3 in as many weeks - Ayden, Hastings and Walters/Nsemba. In fairness to the RFL, they've tried to stamp it out with cards/bans, but the players need to stop it before someone is seriously injured.

Ok. So Peet's decision to chuck two league points for cup success paid off, but it's not a good look for the sport. You could almost say it damages its identity. (And before anyone points it out. This is poor, spineless coaching from Willie Peters. I get Lewis is a critical player, but he's little more than a passenger in this game now. On a blisteringly hot day at Wembley, when you're already down an interchange you can't afford to effectively be down to 12 on the pitch.

The fast flowing, exciting game I fell in love with has been lost in an endless parade of stoppages, penalties, six agains, video reviews & players milking penalties. It used to be The Greatest Game. Increasingly it's The Slowest Game.

Sadly it looks like #StHelens Women #RugbyLeague side has decided to take a leaf out of the men's book in the #ChallengeCup final. Really subpar performance meant the game was gone after less than half an hour. The rest of the match will just be damage limitation.

TV coverage of #RugbyLeague this season has been shocking. Sky constantly losing the on-screen clock/score graphics, several games where either the pictures or the commentary have gone down for several minutes; and don't even get me started on the endless loss of comms between the officials.

Fair play to #WiganWarriors. Second best for much of the game in terms of possession and position their defence was unrelenting & their attack ruthless in the few first half chances they had Sometimes you just have to accept you were well beaten by a team that wanted it more #RugbyLeague

Absolutely laughable commentary in the #StHelens v #Wigan Derby. Noted Saints had 13 players out, then tried to claim Wigan were just as badly hit because they were missing French and Wardle Maths has never been my strong point, but I do know that 13 is a MUCH bigger number than 2 #RugbyLeague

My daughter went to see #Gladiators live in Manchester today. She had made a homemade sign for her favourite Gladiator #Sabre. She was soooooo thrilled when Sabre spotted her sign, made a heart sign and waved at her. It absolutely made her evening and was possibly the greatest moment of her life!
