OK, y'all convinced me. My 9 Games.. I chose titles that altered my brain chemistry—Each one essentially shaping who I am as a gamer. I played all of these between 3 and 17 years old, so very formative years and they all paved the way for many other games to find their way into my heart after.

Yea, there's two actually! This one is the battle damage one from the Konami store, but there's another one that is more of a "animated" look.. ish? They both have interchangeable faces, hands, swords, etc. that you can change out for different poses and expressions.

OK. Hear me out. Bryan ISN'T a protagonist—He's an NPC. But he's specifically one of the NPCs that you as the actual protagonist finds journals for in the games. You find more along the way and start to realize the total HELL this side character went through. And then you find the final entry...

OK, this is how it should be done, folks. Stellar Blade Complete Edition for Switch 2 is 100% on a 32GB game card. The devs said it's because they "understand the importance of physical media." Commitment to player choice is so important, just give us the OPTION to own a physical copy. That's it.

OK, well now it all makes complete sense.

Oh! And 'Ultima Exodus' (NES) I was maybe 6 years old, it was a turn-based RPG and I'd never played one before and didn't know what it was. Keep in mind, Final Fantasy on NES didn't release until a year later in 1990. We mostly had side-scrollers/platformers. But I kept playing anyway! And lost 🙃

For me, it was 'Star Voyager' on NES. I played it all the time, but I just couldn't figure out what I was even supposed to be doing. I always played it with the Quick Shot joystick too. Looking back, this game was like early Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen! It's way more impressive than I realized.
