while i get the motive behind the new system, i do, categorizing bathing suits as revealing (or sexual depending on how the artist renders skin) or changing the amount of clothing a character must wear to qualify as non-revealing depending on *their body type* just reinforces a dangerous precedent

A screenshotted exchange between two people over Discord in the help-desk section of the VGen Discord. Their names have been censored.

Person 1: "Regarding the new tagging system, do swimsuits or bikinis count as well? Just curious"

Person 2 (a mod): "Most likely YES will require a tag under the "revealing clothes" tag (default not blurred/hidden)

Please see the article for a visual:

"re "less explicit" sensitivities -- these are about viewers being able to curate their feeds better.

The original feature request came from "I want to see NSFW without blurs / needing to click on it"

but the team expanded it to be more robust with "if you want to see it without blurs you can, but if you don't want to see it at all you can hide it"

this is from their content tags help article btw help.vgen.co/hc/en-us/art... like this is so funny. how do you intend to enforce this on [checks notes] pregnancy, happy trails, upper thighs on flat chested people, heavy leaning, and Longing Eyes

A graphic from VGen, showing two tables.

The first table reads:

"Sexually suggestive; context or intent:

- Suggestive pose (ie. heavy leaning, contorting body, squeezing, laying down in an erotic way, seductive undressing, tugging at revealing clothes)
- Framing that highlight intimate areas (ie. breasts, buttocks, crotch)
- Clothing that strongle emphasizes anatomy and/or eroticism through tightness, shading, and/or transparency (ie. overflowing breasts or other body parts, nipple protrusions, groin bulges, peaking underwear, lingerie, suggestive bunny suit, bondage gear, micro bikinis/slings)
- Suggestive expressions with sexual intent (ie. biting lips, lustful or longing eyes, heavy blushing)
- Objects used euphemistically to stand in for sexual acts (ie. popsicles, soda cans, staff, fluids)
- Sex-focused beings in revealing clothing (ie. succubus and other erotic demons)
- Fetish emphasis on body parts (ie. feet soles/deep detailing/steam, armpits, mouth or maw-focused art tied to vore-like themes, exaggertaed proportions, pregnancy, pubic har)"

The second table reads:

"Sexually explicit; context or intent:

- Implied or explicit sexual acts
- Implied or explicit handling of intimate areas
- Bodily fluids presented in a sexual or fetish context
- Sex toys or sexual products, even when not in use
- Explicit outlines of genitals through clothing".

hi vgen what year do you think it is. speak quickly 🎤

A graphic from VGen. Text reads:

"ARTIST'S REFERENCE
When to tag Nudity on VGen

This is a guide and not precriptive of exact measurements.

Gentle reminder that tagging conservatively just allows those who would prefer not to see it have the option to remove it from their own VGen experience."

A table below reads as follows:

"Fully clothed (as defined below): Non-sexual; No tag needed. Sexually suggestive (As defined below); Sexually suggestive (18+) tag. Sexually explicit (As defined below); Sexual nudity (18+) tag.

Revealing clothes (as defined below): Non-sexual; Revealing clothes (non-sexual) tag. Sexually suggestive (As defined below); Sexually suggestive (18+) tag. Sexually explicit (As defined below); Sexual nudity (18+) tag.

Barely clothed (<10% of body covered by opaque clothes): Non-sexual; Artistic nudity (non-sexual) tag. Sexually suggestive (As defined below); Sexual nudity (18+) tag. Sexually explicit (As defined below); Sexual nudity (18+) tag.

Full nudity (implied or explicit) (Exposed female nipples or groin anatomy): Non-sexual; Artistic nudity (non-sexual) tag. Sexually suggestive (As defined below); Sexual nudity (18+) tag. Sexually explicit (As defined below); Sexual nudity (18+) tag.

Doll form (nude or otherwise) (No anatomic details): Non-sexual; No tag needed. Sexually suggestive (As defined below); Sexually suggestive (18+) tag. Sexually explicit (As defined below); Sexual nudity (18+) tag."

Under the table is text that reads: "Note that manual censoring (ie. black bars, stickers, blur) does NOT change the implied nudity level.

A graphic from VGen. Text reads:

"Fully clothed: If orange areas are covered with opaque clothes - must be clothing, not see through or nude."

Below is a table showing three different examples with blank human bodies covered with different degrees of orange.

The first is labeled Larger bust, and shows a busty body. The second is labeled Smaller bust. Both are partially covered and labeled with "90% of cleavage (covered); 100% of side boob; 100% of underboob; 100% of hip; 100% of groin and butt".

The third is labeled No cleavage: "100% of nipples; 100% of hip; 100% of groin and butt; 100% of upper thigh".
