The "yuri is male gaze" debate becomes gut-bustingly hilarious once you realize that, more often than not, the genre is created by female mangaka sitting at their desks like:

Vraiment important de rappeler que derrière le lanceur de LDB qui t'éborgne, il y a un petit coeur qui bat... Humaniser les flics, pendant une vaste offensive politico-médiatique pour déshumaniser la jeunesse 👌 (ironie...)

"Suspendu", ça veut juste dire qu'il reviendra dans une semaine, complètement pardonné pour ce qui n'est rien d'autre qu'une tentative de meurtre, voire ce qu'on appelle "attaque terroriste" quand son auteur n'est pas flic.

To expand on this: Bigotry isn't a result of an innocent misunderstanding, or not having all the facts. It's not a choice made rationally, defeated with a rational argument. Bigotry is a self-protective, foundational belief used to help make the world make sense to them. Debate won't change that.

A trolley operators commission I made for Sadistikitteh on tumblr, to illustrate their fic (Dark Star on AO3 archiveofourown.org/works/89026691 ). It was a lot of fun to do! #trolleyoperators #avaironlung #evastratt #phm #ironlung #aeva

A drawing of Eva and Ava. Ava is sitting on medical bed. Her body has mutated. Her left eye became red and yellow, and she grew gills on her abdomen. She has one severed leg with teeth at the end. Eva is checking on her with medical gloves and they are looking intensely at each other. Behind, in the background, there are a lot of blood on another bed and around, suggesting it is where Ava mutated and made a mess that got barely cleaned.

I resent a lot of things about AI in creative spaces. But the thing that I hate the most is that a year or two ago, if I saw something cool on the internet, I DIDN'T HAVE TO QUESTION whether or not human effort created it. I could appreciate what an achievement it was that a person could do that.

I finished my redraw! I started with re-drawing the frame as accurately as I was capable of (and of course I gave him his last second smirk), and then I added my own touch with more glow and colors <3 #yamibakura #闇バクラ #ygo

A drawing of Yami Bakura. He is smirking while glancing at the spectator, his eye is glowing in pink.

After looking at the Yami Bakura's sequence for like the 10th time, I noticed that he is smirking at the very last second. This is a very important information to me.
