Help me understand-RRT for HE in acute on chronic liver failure - lack of effect or lack of evidence?? Ran into this for a pt with coma 2/2 severe HE as at least a contributor. SBO->no PO lactulose. Hepatology rec = PR lactulose > RRT (no effect for AoC liv failure) #EMIMCC #PCCMSky #LiverSky #GISky

Very excited that my residency research is now published open access (first official pub!). Long story short: IV adipose-derived stromal cells partially REVERSE established pulmonary fibrosis and telomere shortening in bleo-exposed mice, at least in part through miRNA modulation. In my quest to make the case for a new breed of adult congenital lung disease specialist, here’s my first skeetorial on what would probably be the bread/butter for such a subspecialist – bronchopulmonary dysplasia (aka chronic lung disease/~post-prematurity respiratory disease) #Pulmsky #Pedspulm
