//Still alive. The verse is a little quiet, so I’ve been writing Cloud Strife more again. Anyway, I’m so ecstatic that the Resident Evil skins finally returned after 3+ years. Been rolling lobbies with Leon and got 3 wins out of 4 games. 😌

“It is.” Leon responded back firmly, that argumentative nature and stubbornness rearing its head even now. “You know as well as I do what happens if I work on a team with other agents.” It’s a situation he didn’t want to delve into too much, the regret still existing and plaguing his mind to this

No names had been mentioned, but Leon could think of a few who’d worry upon learning he’s going headfirst into danger whilst something wasn’t right with his body. Leon felt guilty for this. Yet his decision to work alone rarely ever budged. “I know. Believe me, I do. But it’s better this way.”

“I don’t like to flaunt my wealth.” Funny he says that considering his vehicle, jacket and even watch. The agent simply shrugs as if money isn’t why he does the job— which is the truth. “Probably wouldn’t decorate even if I had the option. No need to really go out of the way for this place.”

“Maybe next time. You know me. I work better alone in most cases.” Accepts his outstretched hand, grabbing on and allowing himself to be pulled to his feet. Leon grimaces slightly, both in some semblance of pain and as he stumbled half a step before soon regaining his footing.

The arrival and assistance is definitely appreciated. That being said - he didn’t really know how to explain without worrying the other. “Just got caught off guard.” Half truth-half lie. Any visible signs beyond the eye colour were concealed beneath tactical gear.

“Had this place for years. I’m not home often.” He steps further in, past the couch and tv to gesture down the hall. “Room on the left is yours. Opposite is the bathroom. Mines at the end of the hall. Kitchen is just through there if you’re hungry or thirsty.”

Closes the door behind them both and steps further inside. “I earn enough. One of the perks of being an agent, I suppose.”

His head lifts slightly at the familiar voice, pained yellowish-blues gazing at the BSAA agent. “Redfield..?” This was unexpected. Probably best he found Kennedy rather than any infected. He’d cleared most of them out.

@captainredfield.bsky.social It was only natural that work would occasionally interfere with Leon and Chris’ personal life. Even so, the fact that work could keep the two apart for weeks at a time? It somewhat saddened Leon. After a mission had gone wrong and Kennedy sustained a few injuries
