Well, here's the first April's joke I found... punoqun.net/. Quite creative, well done! #DNS #Unbound #April1st #AprilFools
The unbound website, but all content is upside down. It matches the domain name `punoqun.net` which is also "unbound" but upside down.

A couple of weeks ago, a new domain name made it's appearance on the domain name ranking of #Cloudflare. Shortly later, the company redacted the name, to avoid promoting a #botnet. Recently, the domain name disappeared from Cloudflare's #Radar. A brief check […] [Original post on infosec.exchange]
A screenshot of Cloudflare Radar's top 100 domain names does not show a "redacted" domain name anymore. The domain name of a botnet disappeared.

Exploring some insights of the #DNS root servers, and I discovered this small bump of `NOTIMP` repsonse codes of `a.root-servers.net`, operated by #Verisign. I checked other server instances with public statistics, and also `k.root-servers.net`, operated by […] [Original post on infosec.exchange]

It looks like #Archlinux still observes operational impact of an ongoing #DDoS attack of some adversary. If I recall correctly, it was late August when they had the first issues. The Internet is really not kind to these benevolent folks spending hours and […] [Original post on infosec.exchange]

I remember the days, when the idea of #DNS4EU was introduced. It felt like a "response" from NextDNS to launch their own #European solution of a public resolver to get ahead of the launch of DNS4EU and acquire some of the market share. With that, they […] [Original post on infosec.exchange]
A screenshot of the announcement of the `dns0.eu` website. They justify the shutdown with unsustainability time and resource investments.

@jmeyer - Thanks Jérôme, I just read the tooltip on the page, as an example RIPE's `k.root-server.org` (screenshot). Hosting would make sense, since the majority of root server instances are likely hosted in commercial (Internet) DCs, I guess.
A screenshot of IPInfo's website of the `k.root-servers.org` server with the tooltip open to show a quick help on what the "Privacy" flag means.
