CW: HORROR ART Decided to draw my lovely lady Helena LaRue bc I don’t give her enough love. She’s a zombie so she may look a llil strange but shes still in there I swear! Or at least that’s what her necromancer husband says. (she isn’t. you need to let go.) #zombie #horrorart #originalcharacter

Lil sneak peek of my #DispatchOC - they’re a lil bit of a horror! oops! Anyway, this is Jackie and they’re loosely based on a jackalope, also they can mimic voices (taken from folklore around jackalopes) they were meant to be silly but I went a lil off the rails with this one

Another drawing of my Dresden Files OC, Odys LaRue. I’m really proud of this one, it’s actually my Lock Screen right now lol. I <3 my pathetic son. And of course the flowers in this drawing have some significance in flower language because I’m insufferable and I love flower language. #myart #ocart

And if there’s any difficulty reading the text on the third slide explaining the plants depicted and what they symbolize, here’s the same text here.

Snap Dragon Seed Pods:
the skull-like appearance of snap dragon seed pods make them look a bit eerie and remind one of death, but they’ve often been seen as a ward against evil spirits and dark magic.

Blackthorn tree:
in Celtic mythology the blackthorn tree was associated with witchcraft. some believed the thorns could ward off evil spirits. in old Irish and Scottish folklore harming a blackthorn tree could bring one bad luck, illness, misfortune and death.

Apocnyum: part of the Dogbane family, is poisonous as all parts of it can cause potentially fatal cardiac arhythmias if ingested. contrasting this toxicity, this plant bears delicate pink or white blossoms, its for this reason this plant is a symbol of deceit.

Enchanter’s Nightshade: despite the name is actually not part of the toxic nightshade family. Its genus name, Circaea comes from the enchantress Circe of greek mythology, which is why it’s associated with witchcraft.

Nerium Oleander: another member of the dogbane family, symbolizes distrust for its beautiful yet dangerous flowers. Oleander is also used in funeral arrangements to express sorrow, symbolizing eternal memory

in early concepts of my Dresden files oc, Odys LaRue was going to be a werewolf like the Alphas. this was before i decided to make him a wizard, and even before he had a name. but some influence of that still stuck around, that is he's very dog coded. #ocart #originalcharacter #digitalart

a cycle that starts at, “oh boy can’t wait to draw something new” then “this might take a while” then “gonna shoot myself this is taking forever” then “woah this came out baller” and back to “can’t wait to draw smth new”

Shitpost about these anon asks from my tumblr

Digital illustration of my persona drawing while two “shoulder angels” or more accurately, shoulder demons saying “we should make them gayer” both of them look like tigers and have horns and demon wings.
