You don't need a budget or a big plan to build a stronger neighbourhood. You just need a few minutes. Small acts of sharing and mutual support are how trust is built, one gesture at a time. This week, try one small neighbourly act and share what you did using #CRDConnectionInAction.
5 Tiny Acts That Build Big Connections:
- Bring in a neighbour's parcel or mail
- Share some fresh fruit produce, seeds for a garden, or a home-cooked dish
- Offer to lend a tool or piece of equipment
- Leave a friendly note for a new neighbour
- Ask: "Can I pick anything up for you?"

Most of us want to know our neighbours better, but sometimes just don't know how to start. Here are five small ways to open the door to connecting with our neighbours – awkwardness not necessary (but it’s okay!). #CRDConnectionInAction
5 Simple Ways to Connect with a Neighbour:
1. Learn their name, and use it
2. Make eye contact and smile in shared spaces
3. Leave a welcome note for a new neighbour
4. Offer a small act of kindness (hold the door, bring in a parcel)
5. Ask a simple question you’re genuinely interested in, like "How long have you lived here?"
