PCOS has been renamed PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) in a global consensus published in The Lancet and announced today at the European Congress of Endocrinology. The change better reflects this multisystem condition affecting ~170M people worldwide - beyond just ovaries.
