Colorectal cancer affects thousands of families every year, including my own. I lost my mama way too early to colon cancer. I’m urging Secretary Kennedy and HHS to classify follow-up colonoscopies as “screenings” so they’re covered by insurance. Families shouldn't choose between care and cost.

The 13th Amendment abolished slavery. Except it didn’t. The “exception clause” allows slavery as punishment for a crime. This is a loophole that has been used and abused for over 160 years, contributing to the criminalization, incarceration, and exploitation of Black people in this country. (1/2)
