Thank you, Stitch! I can feel I'm already on the mend, so I should be good soon. It's the sort of thing that should be very brief. I look forward to sleeping only being a regular chore, and not one of enhanced difficulty!

I'd like both of them back at some point! But I'm no longer feverish and significantly less hypersensitive [I feel like this symptom is less emphasized and articulated when discussing illnesses, and yet it always feels so defining to me].

In aside, and despite it being potentially quite gross, I actually noticed the 'changing' of which nostril was more open and which was more swollen. Like, I've been aware of there being a nasal cycle, but within the past hour I actually essentially felt one nostril release and the other compress.

Just unfortunate timing, to have me making so much contact with other people's things, and being near family members I don't often see while sick. But everyone was warned, and I was the only one who really seemed to care all that much. Strange to me!

I will still have pizza and snacks and homecooked meals [my first rushed and admittedly slightly dodgy attempt at tofu fajitas... I would like to try again, though, because even while it's 'bad,' it's tasty!] when I get back...

I had to prepare and pack my own food and some other supplies, for the obvious reason, so I coincidently got lucky and have eaten my teriyaki tofu and veggies with rice [the cold hot contrast remains pleasing] alongside other snacks and some v3gan pizzas that came with the mini sleepover.

I'm kind of sad I don't really get to enjoy this time alone very much. But it's been decent.

Being sick and catsitting [and briefly also taking care of a younger family member is interesting]. The people I'm catsitting for know they will need to disinfect the place upon return, at least [and they're vaccinated for most things] but I still feel a little bad, even if I'm doing a favor.

A positive thing! I have been able to observe large groups of very active moths on my evening walks, surrounding trees with particular flowers. It is amazing watching these reasonably large moths fly all around and eat nectar! Marvelous!

I bought my journal to use for expressing thoughts that might not be the best for social media, but I still keep wanting to post. Obviously, it's because I want to communicate and work through ideas. But it also always feels unwise, especially as opinions and thoughts get tweaked.

Seeing what I looked like in a selfie camera earlier made me very sad.

Also, Naminé transitioning into twink Ansem.

They probably won't, or, at least, not intentionally. But, I mean, I also think they're tempting individuals for each other. But this requires a ramble I'm not sure I'm prepared for, and explores a lot of both manipulation and connection. And, also, genuine curiosity about their respective skills.

My thought is that Ansem and Naminé should just get to be deeply uncomfortable and extremely ambiguous figures; generally aligned with some idea of good, or putting a stop to worse things, but always 'tripping' back into gray spaces.

There's something different, but also something similar, to the intellectual curiosity and philosophical questions that Apprentice Xehanort offered to him. I also like them exploring their respective guilts in sometimes decent, sometimes terrible ways together.

The only person in the universe who enjoys imagining these two. I just love the concept of a deeply pained Ansem realizing that Naminé is becoming more like him, but also that he can't quite stop her from doing so.

Unrelated to all that, I was thinking of the Ansem the Wise and Naminé relationship again, and also did something I never do [imagined an alternate outfit for Naminé]. [The outfit is just lab coat, trousers, and slicking her hair back so she resembles a certain someone].

For all the issues the Sora and Riku fandom have, I got lucky that we now exist in a time when they get to be somewhat fluid with their dynamics.

Laughing at the fact that I just received a kudos on Lavender Haze. Alright, fine, I'll stop trying to analyze things. People will read it at their own pace and time.

No, Mint, it's fine! I'm mostly reflecting on broader interaction with my work; there's no pressure [unless you need there to be so we can transform this from a fun activity you feel hang ups about into a terrible activity I pestered you to participate in, oTL].

It's funny that I completely forgot this was a thing, whoops. That makes sense, though. I really can't provide those dynamics, though. [Evil voice] I care too much about Xehanort.

There's nothing especially emotional about any of this. I really do just want to be, as they say, a nerd about it.

It is useless information, because I am not going to change what I do, or how I write. But an intellectual curiosity is always going to exist, I suppose. Maybe it's a wondering about what makes other people tick?

The other aspect of the previously mentioned networking and community thing is that I'm not much of a reader myself, which likely contributes to me having less of a presence. Mutual interaction is a thing.

But I also think I can write things that get a bit confusing at points. This is usually deliberate, but I can see why someone might not like it.

I think the final thing is just a lack of awareness with regard to craft. I think my writing is decent, both by fic and by 'general' standards. I've received comments I think are genuine, albeit most people don't talk specifically about the craft of writing.

I also have to acknowledge that just because I think I'm doing something interesting, doesn't mean it necessarily is, or, perhaps, that people care all that much for interesting. I do have a lot of aspects to my fics that I think people will bounce off of.

Which is not a mark against a fic. It's just an acknowledgement, maybe, that with so much fic in the world, it makes sense that people with substantial existing communities will gain more attention. And it's a thing I'm never going to do, because I'm more than a little asocial.

I am also aware that my summaries are uninspired, which likely does affect how many people can be bothered to click on my fics. I don't really have a clique, also, if that makes sense? I think pretending fandom networking doesn't exist, and isn't a contributing factor in fic popularity is silly.

...wondering why it specifically didn't seem to gain much attention from actual fans of that ship. I would never expect it to do as well as fics for more popular ships, but I do feel like actual enjoyers of the ship didn't interact much with it.

Usually I don't post much wondering about, 'why don't people read my fics?' because I don't find it especially useful, but now and then I do end up pondering it. Also, people do read my fics, but, like, thinking of Lavender Haze, I end up having thoughts...

I do think there is something very pleasurable about the cooking experience, specifically when it smells really good while cooking. If you stand over a pan of veggies with seasoning dumping on it, the smell is exceptionally pleasing...

Unrelated, if there is one thing I want to eventually become good at, it is cutting onions. My dislike of onion tears... I want to overcome this, because onion really does just make cooking a lot of fun.

I am in obscene lust with the idea that I might one day find the absolute way to communicate. Surely, there is the perfect way to communicate that offers me everything I want, risks nothing, cannot be misunderstood, does good work. Surely! [Knows this is ridiculous].

But I do want to be more careful with my language, I guess. Mostly for interpretation reasons [I have some idea what's going through my head on my side, but it's much harder for people to figure that out from what I share, and I know I communicate a little strangely].

I do think there's something to be said about the fact that I don't even particularly want to hurt, or have bad things happen, to people I feel that way about [especially since, when I do have emotions, they're so... fickle].
