That's a good idea. We do need another exhibition where people can talk about it.

Things are with politicians. Giving them some time to do what they've said they'll do. But if they don't we will turn the pressure back up. But we want more visuals so people can see what it would look like. Also get the beginnings of a scenario explored professionally.

The costly repairs were chosen for us. The public had no say. No alternative options are ever considered when it comes to the M8. There is very little democratic process behind Transport Scotland's decisions.

"As citizens began demanding sustainable development and a better quality of life, the elevated highway over Cheonggyecheon, requiring either costly repairs or demolition, became a test case for a new way of thinking about urban space." We chose the costly repairs 🤦

Download all your data from Facebook first. And then hit delete. It takes 30 days to delete but if you login any time it cancels the process. They will also spam you with emails telling you what you're missing out on.

New Yorkers: neither your city nor your country are that unusual, you are at a well-studied point on the public opinion curve for traffic reduction measures. (the "Goodwin Curve") This curve was observed in London, Stockholm, and many other cities.

The Goodwin Curve, a graph of public support for traffic reduction measures over time.

Initially, support grows until there is enough for the plan to proceed. As details emerge, support falls away. Immediately before implementation, there is panic. Then, over time, support builds to higher than ever before as people experience the benefits.

There is a @replacethem8.bsky.social campaign to try to put right some of the damage done to Glasgow by motorways. There's currently a multimillion, multiyear project to repair a concrete viaduct, which I think could be an opportunity to get the motorway out of the city centre

Perhaps no other UK city has built a monument to automobility quite as gruesome as Glasgow's M8. But its story nonetheless resonates across urban Britain.

Did you know there's a massive 60s concrete megastructure that divides Glasgow city centre from its surrounding neighbourhoods? 🤔🏙️ It doesn't have to be this way! Let's reimagine this massive area of land for a more connected and accessible city! 🌍✨ #Glasgow #UrbanRevitalization

Hi everyone moving over from Twitter. Please follow if you think Glasgow needs to rethink the 60s motorway which slices through the city centre!
