Ten students at Tempe Prep earned Congressional Awards this year. They put in a combined 2,600+ hours of community service — tutoring their peers, coaching youth sports, volunteering at local food banks & more. This week I helped cut the ribbon on Northrop Grumman's new aerospace facility in Arizona. Their spacecraft that resupplies the International Space Station is assembled right here in the East Valley — its last run in April carried over 11,000 pounds of cargo into orbit.

In 2024, the 988 Lifeline's dedicated line for LGBTQ+ youth answered more than 600,000 crisis contacts. Last year, the Trump administration shut it down anyway. My colleagues and I fought hard to bring it back, and the line has finally been restored.
