It was such an honor to be a part of the historic ceremonial #PAHouse session at Congress Hall in Philadelphia. There was no better place to be than on the Independence Mall to celebrate our democracy and the 250th anniversary of the United States of America! youtube.com/shorts/Xa-Z5...

So proud & excited to finally pass #PABudget! It may not be perfect but we are continuing to improve funding for our schools, finally get retired public servants a cost-of-living adjustment, and funding for highways & hospitals. youtube.com/shorts/BVLZR...

I’m excited about the progress on my bill that would incentivize pharmaceutical & biomedical innovation in PA by modernizing licensing requirements. We need to smooth out this regulatory hurdle to keep PA competitive. My bill passed committee nearly unanimously & now goes to the full #PAHouse.

I can’t emphasize the importance of blood donations enough and my family’s living proof. 10 years ago my father was diagnosed with myelodysplastic anemia, a condition where your body no longer produces red blood cells.

Family Care Act is crucial for supporting hardworking Pennsylvanians during life's challenges. The proposed statewide paid family and medical leave insurance program would provide much needed relief, while also helping small businesses compete with larger corporations.

I echo Gov. Shapiro’s words of appreciation for first responders. These workers prioritize the safety of those around them in times of crisis, and I’m making a point in return to prioritize measures that will better support *them,* from higher wages to better access to mental health care.

After losing 2 hospitals this past spring, our community has been living with real worry about access to healthcare, especially in emergencies. This funding won’t solve every challenge, but it *will* give these hospitals a little breathing room as they work to meet demand.

A neighbor w/ a disability asked why Senate leaders want to fund private school vouchers for the few but won’t fund mass transit like #SEPTA, used by up to 40K riders w/ disabilities daily. Public transit = freedom. We can't let lawmakers take it away.

The House just voted yet *again,* after working thru the weekend, to give the Senate a new chance to fund public transit, roads, & bridges. We even added the audit rules for #SEPTA some GOP senators want. Folks across PA are wondering why their senators won’t return to the table.

42 days since the House passed HB1364 to fund SEPTA, roads & bridges—but the Senate still hasn’t acted. Instead, some senators proposed a “plan” that blames #SEPTA & adds red tape. Pennsylvanians need real transit funding now. share.inquirer.com/2NsNjf

SEPTA service cuts start in August if the public transit funding bill the House passed doesn't make it to Gov. Shapiro's desk. The Senate *could* be considering H.B. 1364 this week, but has chosen not to -- the chamber doesn't have a single session day scheduled this week!
