When AI can be used to develop bioweapons, Congress cannot afford to sit back. I’m pushing for clear standards, early detection, and strong guardrails. We need to invest in our scientists and make safety a priority. Our health and national security depend on it.

Los Angeles and San Diego are not "a small price to pay." Neither is Frederick, or Hagerstown, or any American city. The President stood at a rally and offered up millions of Americans as an acceptable loss. His first duty is to protect them.

One in nine families in our district relies on SNAP. Starting this month, Trump’s Big Ugly Law cuts federal support for administering the program in half and leaves Maryland to cover the cost.

What dark motives would perpetrate the dragging of children as young as 3 into immigration court - without counsel or appropriate representation. As a mom of four, I find this to be evil personified and will fight for complete accountability for these transgressions. Shameful beyond belief!

Rep. April McClain Delaney @repaprildelaney.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
The utter lack of any empathy or respect for human life - particularly children’s lives - is reflective of the dark degradation of Trump’s Administration and its increasing focus on stoking terror, undermining due process and ruthlessly and unlawfully seizing governing powers.

CNN, Politico, and MS NOW aren’t the problem. The problem is a president who can’t handle tough questions. Americans want answers. A free press holds power accountable, keeps information flowing freely, and our democracy depends on it.

This is an outrageous attack on freedom of the press. Trump cannot ban news organizations from the White House simply because he dislikes their reporting. That is authoritarian, un-American, and an attack on the First Amendment. A free press is not optional. It is essential to our democracy.
