'Just protecting our interests'. That is the single most important thing for a British govt to do. Not sure what narrative you're referring to. Clearly, many countries, including the UK, are potentially targets. That is a shared value for one.

Tell me how the uk is involving itself in this war? You can't somehow pretend the shit isn't happening around British interests. By responding to that, it is prudent and responsible. Not doing so would be irresponsible.

Tellingly, the post to which you ill advisably react has been deleted.

Sorry Lee, but that is not what's happening, and I hope you understand that? Protecting British interests while shit hits fan is what a British response should be. If we did not do that, it would be irresponsible.

Protesting, criticising, and gesture politics is really easy when those doing so have no wider responsibility or willingness to resolve what is an immediate and obvious national issue.

Amazing how much utter nonsense you manage to fit in such a short post Martin K.

Anthony, I'm nor arguing for or against Scottish independence. In fact i might very well be for it. And am not distorting anything. Just replying to somebody. Don't need any lectures from you sir. Cheers, and have a nice day.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 23/02/2026
You do know that's not true, right? I understand people like you will distort to benefit your desire for an independent Scotland, but please respect those who don't agree. Have a nice day.

You seem to be one of those who thinks their own opinion is what everyone thinks. Guess you only talk to people of the same opinion. Have a nice day.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 22/02/2026
It's not more or less obvious. There are way too many wishful thinkers on both extremes, green or reform, who don't like the fact this govt is doing a decent job of repairing things. I understand reform idiocy, but it's sad so many greens can't seem to get that.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 22/02/2026
But she's not right, it's twoddle and it's not logic, it's an opinion by a totally subjective self interested person. There will be no reform sweep, or landslide. Will they get more seats, yes, because the tories are a shit show, there is complicit media, and there is way too much ignorance about.

I tend not to trust any printed papers nowadays. Particularly those with an agenda one way or the other. My point isn't anything against your or their agenda. Just the fact that it is an agenda which skews their view on anything to do with uk politics.

Maybe give labour a full term to see what it's done to rebuild after 15 years of decay. I don't think any other party could do what's positively being done. Anyway, we'll see. Have a good evening.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 20/02/2026
I prefer to trust those in govt at the moment much more than you or the master hypnotiser at the head of your chosen party. Guess we'll never know though, as the greens will never be in govt.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 20/02/2026
I prefer a grown up approach to governing, not a wishlist of fantasies. Greens, and particularly zp wants out of nato - as I said, nincompoops.
100
renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 20/02/2026
Not denying their right, or position, just stating the fact that everything that comes out of it is skewed through the prism of wanting Scottish independence. It's in their interest to try and destabilise anything to do with a pro-union (labour) government. All good mate.
000
renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 20/02/2026
I think everyone with obvious political agendas against Labour, including those specifically supporting green or reform, should stop deluding themselves that either of those parties of nincompoops have any positive ideas to make the country better at this moment in time. Not necessarily meaning you.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 20/02/2026
"The National is a pro-Scottish independence daily newspaper with a left-of-centre, nationalist, and progressive editorial stance. Launched in 2014, it explicitly supports Scottish independence" I wouldn't trust a news organ with such an overt political agenda to give sound advice on voting.

What a dreadful and nasty piece Malik has written. Full of inaccuracies, personal insults, and wishful negativity. And the fact the guardian want me to support them in the same breath as paying this person to write such utter bilge is beyond belief.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 15/02/2026
Sadly he destroys any credibility he might have by accusing Starmer of being authoritarian. He's a student politician proclaiming all kinds of nonsensical things because he doesn't have to answer for anything. I wouldn't want him in charge of the local green bin collection, let alone levers of power

I would really like to know what on earth they think they will achieve, apart from a few slaps on the back from fellow socialist ideologues and the return of a (far) right government. It seems easy for them to be constantly negative and derogatory, without presenting any cogent alternative.

Well said, Rick. I'm of a similar view re the Guardian. For the same reasons, I will not contemplate supporting it. Really can't get my head around the nonsense that increasingly gets published there.

They are addressing the social and economic needs of the people. They are equally rebuilding after a decade and a half of tory degradation, as well as rebuilding ties with Europe on all fronts. Really can't understand how some can't see this.

I'm saying unions should not be solely responsible for deciding who leads the Labour Party. Seems reasonable.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 12/02/2026
Nobody is saying otherwise Head Like A Hat. They do influence, but they don't and shouldn't decide. More importantly, anyone whose main claim to fame was advising Corbyn as leader shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Says the union leader from the far left who campaigned for Corbyn and advised him as leader. Just mischief making.

The point is, it's not offensive to 'think' something, however disgusting. It does however become offensive, and something to apologise for, if you air disgusting thoughts.
000
renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 11/02/2026
And quite right of him to do so. Ed Davey is the one who should apologise for himself and his party being an integral part of the disastrous austerity govt.

I applaud your tactical voting stance, though I'm still interested to know the party out there without fuckwits✌️🍻. Not looking for an argument. Just when I read publicly aired views which I vehemently disagree with, then I'll challenge them. Good luck in your constituency 👍

1. Not miraculous if he does. 2. You're clearly not a labour voter so your opinion is based on distorted wishful thinking. Tell us the party you'll vote for. The one that doesn't have fuckwits? 3. Mid-term by-elections are often a protest. Not to mention the present twisted media landscape.

Not a waste at all. There have been numerous positive policies put in place to repair and rebuild during the past 18 months. None of it would have been possible if Labour had not been in government. Is the world perfect? No, but give me the last 18 months over any period during the previous 15 years

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 09/02/2026
Well said Lee. Obviously some mistakes have been made by the govt. But compare these mistakes with the utter corruption and bigotry emanating from the mouths of reform and tory members. There is no comparison of course, simply that much of the media are happier shilling for rascist traitors.

You may recall that in January of 2025, artist Ann Telnaes announced that she had quit The Washington Post after editors killed a cartoon that depicted owner Jeff Bezos, among others, genuflecting to Trump. This cartoon feels even more relevant this week.

Sorry Andrew, but saying nhs in your answer is just nuts. Is the world perfect, now? No, but those to blame are not labour! I hope you know that.

'The voters'. Come on. You mean you (Green) and reform/tory for different reasons, equally deluded. If your answer is to accuse others of being smug if they don't follow green, then that's bizarre.

Glad to hear your tactical voting position. Voting for one party is always in part an anti other party vote. I hope you respect democracy enough to allow Labour to fulfill the full term and then compare their term of rebuilding with the shit show of the previous 15 years of tories.
000
renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 05/02/2026
Vote for who you like to keep reform or tories out 👍. Your spitting claim is beyond belief. Ukrainians might contest that, amongst many many others, principally in the uk. And to me, wanting out of nato, as Mr polanski wants, is immediately a disqualifying position.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 05/02/2026
What I don't get is that, clearly, labour are rebuilding from the mess that was made of the previous 15 years. How can you dislike that? Are they perfect? No. But they, to my mind are by far the best option to govern. Anyway, all good. 😊✌️

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 05/02/2026
I'm thinking about the next general election really. I'm all for whomever beats reform or the tories, be that labour, green, or plaid. We're on the same side in that regard I guess.
000
renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 05/02/2026
Andrew, I'm sure we might agree on many things. Primarily about the nutcases of reform and tories. I respect those who may want to vote green, as I would hope greens would respect my decision to vote Labour. Where necessary, let's all vote tactically to avoid being governed by reform/tories.

renshawinfo.bsky.social @renshawinfo.bsky.social · 05/02/2026
