Romus is out sick so I'm trying out games 'til he returns: I'll be testing Unicorn Overlord today to see how I like it. I'm not certain how well I play strategy anymore, so this will be a test of my...erm... reflexes... Stream starts today at 3PM CST on Twitch and Youtube <3 twitch.tv/renjb

Can someone come pick me up? I got dropped off at this place called Gridania and I have no idea where I am. If push comes to shove at least there's a free hotel and lots of odd jobs here until I get back on my feet. 🤷 #ffxiv

I couldn't get this song out of my head, so I made a video 🤷‍♂️ The Nier:Automata crossover raid in #ffxiv is still one of my favorites. It also just occurred to me that enthused dancing is exactly what a FF14 Dancer should do when faced with deadly robots. 💃

My ISP says the internet issues of the past month or two have been resolved. Just in time for more FF14 New Game+ ARR at 3 PM CST today! (Twitch and Youtube) Romus and I will be leaving Gridania as envoys! (And doing a lot of character reads) #ff14 #twitch #youtube #livestreaming

Two young male characters with rabbit ears wear simple white wooden masks while staring at the viewer. The one on the right wears a blue fantasy inspired shirt. The other wears a green and white modern Hoodie with a white tank top beneath. A red panda hangs onto the shoulder of the young man in blue, cartoonishly round eyes staring at him in shock.
Blue shirt man: "These look familliar!"
Hoodie man: "Really?"
Red Panda: *thinking* " Creepy!"
Anxious sweat drops fall from the panda's thought bubble.

I read somewhere that when you’re with someone you deeply trust, your brain shifts your body into rest mode. Research shows that lovers can synchronise their sleep with heartbeats and movements, falling into rhythm throughout the night. Isn’t it lovely? Love is rest.

Ranged, light-footed, fast/hard attacks in waves-- with a preference for taking specific angles based on feel. This can end up feeling like he's being extra cautious or only dodging...until he's suddenly sending in several barrages from several angles as hard as he can for an extended period.

Renate is estranged from everyone he knew growing up, so no one knows where he is or what he's doing. He doesn't have memories of his family, either. As an Adventuerer, he makes himself at home everywhere and considers those closest to his heart as family, whether they know he cares or not.

020

RenJB [a.k.a.] RenOnVacation @renjb.bsky.social · 10/09/2025

He wouldn't understand that was the intention. Like me, someone would have to hit them on the head with a blunt object labeled for flirting, while shouting, "I AM FLIRTING WITH YOU!" ...Then he would get really surprised while it sunk in over the next few months. 😂

I plan to do a lot more daily FFXIV streams with random goals, so I made a bunch of generic youtube thumbnails for each type of play. This way I can: 1. Save time setting up the daily streams, and 2. Have more energy to make special MSQ or Questline thumbnails (yay!) That's the idea, anyway. 😅

000

RenJB [a.k.a.] RenOnVacation @renjb.bsky.social · 08/09/2025

My WOL is not personally invested in the idea-- he sees himself as just another person who sort of ended up in this whole situation. He carries it because it's what others ask him to be. In DT, he is enjoying not having to keep it at the front of his mind, but accepts it's not over yet.

Does your WOL have any random secret theories about why certain events in the plot of the story turned out the way they did? Mine has one and feels guilty about it: He secretly believes his Echo enthralled Zenos during their battle at the Royal Menagerie. #wolqotd #wolquestions

RenJB [a.k.a.] RenOnVacation @renjb.bsky.social · 05/09/2025

Prior to the events of 5.0-6.0, my WOL didn't think about it beyond knowing the basic things about the soul & the aetherial sea. Now, he is concerned and excited to know what could happen concerning reincarnation. The only things he fears are timing and "how".

These photos were taken between one of my alts (Wystukai) and one of my partner's alts (Humbert). Our alts are like shards of ourselves, so they're less OC's and more like mirrors. Humbert has since passed but leaves The Cat Bureau FC in Goblin (Tag: Honor) as his legacy. 💛
