Where do you fall in the circle of privilege as it exists in the US? For my part, I have 7 from the highest privilege, 7 from the middle level, and 2 from the outermost circle, tho that could very easily switch to 7 with just one major financial or health hit.

A complex wheel that describes the types of privilege people may or may not have. Each slice of pie represents one type of privilege

There are three inner circles, the center one being the most privileged or holding the most power: Degrees of privilege in each pie slice are as follows, starting from the outermost circle/least privilege/power:

Justifiable anger is natural in the moment. It's not a sustainable state for effective resistance. Sustained anger impacts your nervous system, sleep, and gut. It breaks relationships and limits options. It reduces all of your capacities, including judgment & ability to act effectively long term.

We ended up adopting a kitten a month later, who immediately adopted her as grandma and the two bonded like I've never seen. When she got sick he took care of her, keeping her clean and warm.

I need a #cats infusion. Show me your cats and tell me one thing that is special about them. Lexi was dumped at a shelter at 7 years old when her family had a baby. We adopted her at 13, after 5 yrs in a shelter, never looking out a window, sick from stress. She was so grateful to be home at last.

Had two, had to be euthenized within 5 months of each other, an 18 year old, white one, Lexi, and Bjorn, who was 5. Bjorn adopted his Lexi against her will--wore her down. Lexi was in the shelter for 5 years, was 13 when we adopted the sweet girl. Bjorn was a kitten from same shelter, with Zuri.

Aww I love min panthers. Those eyes! Our Zuri is similar, smart as hell, will do tricks for me, beautiful cat but the snuggling is ALWAYS on her terms when she's in the mood, mostly cos she's cold. :D That's one reason I want another, for snuggling, but also a companion for her. Had 4, down to 1.

Oh goodness that's a cute pic! Reminds me of a favorite doll, part of the Ideal Tressy line, which should age me. I'm barely a boomer 62. Typical of Black dolls of the time, she's identical to the red-haired version other than the color of the plastic she was molded in. I adored her. Still have her!

Oh well, ok if we're doing dick humor. This is a photo I took while out walking. When I posted it to FB a friend asked, "Did the shadow ask for consent before exposing itself?" I responded that it probably did because the mailbox seemed as amused as I was.

A shadow on a sidewalk beside some mowed grass of an object that you cannot see off to the right side. The shadow is weirdly phallic in nature, down to some surprising details in angle and shape.
