What I did was write down a bunch of names that I liked from websites or books or friend's names. And kinda started calling myself each one. The only ones that gave me euphoria, went into another list to narrow it down.

My name was almost Joel or Lars. I was torn between those two and eventually couldn't settle on one. Then I realized I'd already been going by my actual name for years now. So changing it to Ash, wasn't a huge stretch for anyone to relearn.
