The known world consists of, with respect to Washington D.C.:
- Washington D.C. is the seat of the Presidency.
- The Americanist realms are the Old Dominion, Shanandoah, The Presidency, Delmarva, Delaware Valley, South Jersey, New York, Conneticut.
- To the North, Gothic and Fathomless tribes dominate New England. The Mayflower Society are based in Boston and Plymouth, and control the kingdom of Ivyland.
- To the Northwest, the Clairvoyant kingdom of Hudsonia and the Deitsch Old Order KIngdom of Deitschrei stand in the way of the Americanists' move westwards.
- The South is dominated by the vast Holy Columbian Commonwealth, run by the evangelicals.
