This bipartisan legislation seeks to eliminate the 2.8% payment cut and provide a positive 1.8% payment update in 2025. While that might seem like small potatoes, it sure beats a pay cut. Contact your elected representatives and tell them to address the Medicare payment shortfall this year! end

Folks, if you haven't heard there's a bill in Congress that would stop the slated Medicare physician payment cut for 2025 and actually provide a modest increase in Medicare payment. Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act" (H.R. 10073). 1/

Politico reporting this morning that the IOTA Kidney Transplant Payment Model could be in the crosshairs of the Trump Administration post transition. Interesting in that the Advancing American Kidney Health initiative that promotes these kinds of programs came from the first Trump Administration.

On telehealth, proposals are finalized to: (1) allow use of audio only technology if the distant site physician or practitioner is technically capable of using an interactive telecommunications system, but the patient is not capable of, or does not consent to, the use of video technology.

So folks, one of my primary responsibilities for RPA is to monitor the U.S. Medicare Fee Schedule for nephrology; this will be a thread with key highlights from the 2025 fee schedule which came out November 1. To be transparent, much of this was sent to RPA members yesterday.
