Has anyone ever heard about the tv show Moonlight? The mc is a vampire private detective. I'm gonna give this one a chance because I like supernatural crime stuff.

Esurio (Hungry), Benignus (Fraternity), Calidus (Feverish), Dimitor (Beast-Tamer),Insomnis (Insomniac), Gelidus (Chilly), and Gladius (Swordsman). They feel like proper names.

I'm glad that the names are in latin in the The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom german dub and sub, because I don't like how their names are not really names in english? They are called hungry, swordsman, beast-tamer, etc. and it sounds a bit too silly for my liking 😅

The more I watch streams of Songs of Glimmerwick gameplay the more I want to play it myself 😭 It looks gorgeous and has so many details! The ambient noise of rain or the crickets at night is so relaxing, and the voice acting makes the characters even more charming 😍 More people should play it!

Oh so that's why The New York times published that one garbage article. Lively's and Reynold's PR people knew more unsealing of more damning texts from both would be released soon and they needed "good"publicity before it happened. You learn so much about how PR shapes news outlets. It's disgusting.

Does anyone else likes the Enemies to Lovers trope, but only in a fantasy setting? It gives me the ick in contemporary settings 😬 I need the toxicity being contained in something fantastical otherwise I don't want it haha

I just finshed peeling loooots of chestnuts and now I have two blisters 🙃 I really hope the majority of them taste good and not like the three bland ones I ate..

I'm not even gonna bother with the support. It doesn't help anyway, so I'll just have accept it 😅

It's so annoying that "I" seem to unvoluntarily unfollow always the same accounts on a regular basis but I can't seem to unfollow other accounts and then I have to mute/block them..

When did everyone decide being sick didn't require a mask anymore? People coming in sick daily, making comments about how smart I am and that they notice I don't get sick....okay so put a mask on?! It's not rocket science 😭

Man I just love Dirty Dancing so much. It tackles interesting themes like classism and abortions, but you also get to see romance and amazing choreographies. It feels super nostalgic, even though I was neither born in the 60s (when the movie is set) or 80s (when it was filmed) 😅

Bahaha I just thought you posted under the Dirty Dancing posts, so I had to delete my response 😂 I wish I knew how it ends, because the show was cancelled way before the comic was finished but there's not even a wikipedia entry for it..

Why did saxophone melodies and solos disappear from modern music 😭 I just finished my rewatch of Dirty Dancing and the soundtrack puts me into such a great mood, and the sax is one of the reasons. IT'S SO GOOOOD!

I hate it when I'm interested in an audiobook but I don't like the voice of the narrator(s)..

010

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

What genre are you interested in?

000

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Ikr? The cinematography is beautiful. It's a comfort movie for me too, I've already watched it three times this year haha

010

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Yes you really have to take your time. But since I read for escapism and enjoyment I'm not gonna force myself to push through anything I lost interest in just because I was told it's a masterpiece.

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Oh and btw, I love the Pride and Prejudice movie as well which is a controversial opinion in the Austen fandom because it's not accurate 😁

110

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I read half of Dracula, which was much easier to read than Austen, even as a non-native speaker, but I DNF'd it as well because I was bored 😅 The beginning was really great though. So I only ever finished the two Austen books. I still have many classics on my TBR and plan to read them at some point.

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I felt similarly with this. The Mini-Series was much more fun bc even though they included some of the dialogue from the book, they kept it short but meaningful and did the rest with facial expressions. I do like 2 of Austen's other books(Persuasion, Pride & Prejudice)

110

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Listening to the audiobook did not help much. It's so painfully boring, just like Emma. I can't deal with it anymore 😂 I'll stick to the 2008 mini-series, and maybe the new movie..?

It's officially pumpkin season, which happens to be a special treat for our ambassador wolves this time of year! 🎃🐺 Although wolves are classified as carnivores, they can sometimes have an omnivorous diet. Along with meat and eggs, wolves may also enjoy fruits like pumpkins. #wolffact

It sucks that companies can just take away something you purchased and that this kind of practice is even legal.

020

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

No, it's simply a fictional story for adults. There is no endorsement whatsoever, it simply exists. It's the same as dark romance or gory/violent stories: Some content may be messed up, but it's the parents fault for not teaching their kid what happens in a book is not real life

000

Verena @rena31.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

because adults can't seperate fiction from relatity right?

Witch Hat Atelier Volume 15 ❤️ This time I got the LE again, because it includes this gorgeous two-piece acrylic standee of Coco 😍 20€ for everything was definitely worth it!

manga witch hat atelier volume 15 (german version)

A cartoon man is sitting on mossy stones with a wodden bowed instrument in his hand. He's looking into the distance.

He has white skin, dark eyes, long black hair tied back into a low ponytail with different sections. He's wearing a brown cape and a dark blue dress(?) with golden details with runes on it.

Acrylic standee of Coco from the manga and anime Witch Hat Atelier.

A cartoon character is sitting on a decorated chair with diamond and star shapes in front of an arch, which is just as decorated and fancy.

She has green-ish hair, white skin and her eyes are closed. She's wearing a blue cape with a silver ornament, a blue and white pointy hat, a beige dress with golden and brown runes and different shapes.
