Decades ago now, I was at a student conference at the Telluride Film Festival and we were able to meet and speak to David Lynch after the premiere of Straight Story. I was able to ask him a question. I remember him being awkward and friendly, which I would also be if surrounded by college kids.

I live in a household with two MAGA boomers and I don't think most people know how many Qanon, right wing, Christian nationalist podcasts are out there. In the 90s, I remember them spending their time watching televangelists, so this seems to be a natural progression.
