Kib's first chemo was today. Took it well so far. We might get out of the hospital next week. But I still need some food money for until then. Can't just eat instant ramen every day. Both of us lost a lot of weight. Worked on some bust adopts on my steamdeck, will post them soon.

Still in the hospital. Kib's chemo is starting this week. Might close their stomache finally as well. Not sure how life is supposed to go on afterwards. Many feelings of safety gone. About 8k euro in the minus after all of this. Whole family savings. No time to work on my game like this...

Going home for a short time today and I'll go ahead and get my tablet, portable screen, steam deck dock and get krita on steam. I should at least manage to get some sketches out this way, I hope. This is not the situation to try a new drawing set up, but no choice at this point.

Still at the hospital. Still no idea when we'll be able to go home. Kib's general condition improved, but their stomache is still not fully closed. Might still start with chemo next week. It's getting really tough financially though... I couldn't pay all this month's bills.

They are having a surgery every single day since I wrote this. Hopefully the last one tomorrow, but the life altering thing will happen extremely likely and then chemo as soon as they recovered probably... They're doing very bad mentally. So am I.

Meds alone didn't do it. Another surgery. As mentioned, I don't feel it's my place to spill details, but while this is not life threatening, there is a potential for it to be life altering in a major way... It's not related to the cancer, but caused by the surgery that removed it.

So still unsure what the reason for kib's pain is, but at least they got it to be managable here in hospital. But now I also received a letter that the state and health care provider think that I don't need gender affirming care since I haven't killed myself yet!

Even though it's cancer again, we somehow managed to keep it together, had a decent last few days. Now we had to call an ambulance because kib was in the worst pain of their life and I don't know how to keep it together anymore.

It's bad... The diagnosis is worse than we had hoped for and the time at the hospital was horrible. There is hope and we will remain hopeful, but things will be difficult for a while. I'm back home and will resume work soon, but I'll likely be much slower with everything.
